Rebellion Conflicts: Eternal Tofu AirDrop

The Splinterlands team continues to generate value by distributing new and valuable cards to existing players via AirDrops. This time around, they have altered the mechanics to distribute them using a new system called Conflicts. Instead of directly relying on the amount of packs purchased, we now have to staked these cards in Mage Wagons which we purchase to gain chances for the AirDrop. The way they have mixed the process with the lore has been great so looking forward on how it evolves over the Rebellion edition.

The new Legendary Summoner AirDrop card, Eternal Tofu can be used across the Life and Earth Splinters. As it has been for these new Legendary Summoners, it will also participate in the Tactics phase before each battle. Eternal Tofu will give the option to either use the abilities Triage and Scavenger for one unit or Divine Shield and Corrossive Ward for up to 3 units. The baseline abilities provided by the card will be +2 Health, Snare to all units and Thorn to all unit. It is an interesting mix despite not having any new abilities.

My completed regular foil deck cannot get me enough for a maxed version guaranteed. I opted to use some of my Gold Foils to also stake instead of renting them in order to try to get a maxed copy. I had a good amount of luck as I got a couple of extra BCX and a Gold Foil version which went into the wagons to help for the next Conflict which started immediately. The future AirDrops will likely require me to go and buy some BCX as it gets harder to guarantee the drops. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how their value is perceived in the market given the inherent expected scarcity of Rebellion in general.

The Rebellion AirDrops have now started so exciting for the community. It may be a while to see the next one but incredible to see the value being built for all the players in the ecosystem. My Collection has continued to bloom despite the markets in the past months. I cannot avoid getting deeper into this and while I am already well past my budget of packs, I am sure there will continue to be reasons to add to the wagons for the chance for more AirDrops even as they slow.
