Another perfect Splinterlands battle

Recently I have decided to take a lot of my cards off the rental market and move into the gold leagues. normally I play in silver.

I am massively underweight in cards, with my best summoner only level 4, but most of my summoners are level 2 and 3.

So just now when I won a match flawlessly without a loss of a single monster, this was something special, because I haven't been able to do this too much in gold league.

The Battle

The ruleset was back to basics, and I thought a good tactic to use when there is lots of mana is have a big tank at the front with lots of shields too. Then the backline all Magic. It was set up just like this.

I was worried that the opponent may run with death and the magic deflect summoner, but that wasn't the case, so was quite happy when I saw life.

the other strategy I use is try to find magic attack monsters with high health. There are surprising a lot now there are so many series to choose from, especially in water.

Round 2 of the match

My barrage of magic attack (and fast magic too) annihilated the tank in the first round, with two monsters taken out. This meant in the second round, I only had 3 backline arrows attacking me. This is where he speed of my magic helped and took out the remaining monsters before they had a chance to attack

Round 3

With only a single ranged attack monster, the enemy was left unable to attack in the 3rd round, and ultimately succumbed to my supreme magic attack. A job well down no monsters perished in this display of strength.

Level 1 opponents in Gold leagues

What surprised me here was that I was coming up against level 1 summoners in gold league. I invested heavily to get enough collection power to make it into the gold leagues, yet I am up against level 1. Well done for them displaying the skill necessary to make it, but got that wondering if there are smarter ways to build your deck? perhaps rent the power to get to gold.. and then have a very targeted deck
