My Actifit Report Card: July 23 2024
Nice! the weather was better today so after breakfast we went out to walk to the small mountain close to the campsite we're staying, in World War 2, in 1940 a statue has been placed on top as a thank you the German forces didn't occupy the village of Chatillon, it's called La statue du sacre coeur, or the statue of the sacred heart.
It wasn't a really big climb, the elevation from our campsite is 131 meters according to Google but it was enough to raise my heart rate and get me breathing more heavily, a little too short for me, we got to the top pretty fast but it was a very pretty view. The top is flat with a big grass field and the statue on the far side.
The view was very much worth the climb!
After taking some family photos and enjoying the view we went back, had lunch and headed to the swimming pool.
After dinner I played badminton and beach tennis, basically a game of ping pong without a table with the girls, we set a new personal record too, 74 passes before I slipped on the wet grass and the ball landed on the ground. 😃
