Hi to all! I am happy to join the Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 174.

Today I decided to draw Scarred Llama Mage.

For my work I use:

  • A4 paper,
  • ballpoint pens,
  • gel pens,
  • simple pencil,
  • colored pencils.

And traditionally I will show how the drawing was created step by step.

I start work on drawing contours with a simple pencil. ⬇️

I continue with this step: I choose any element that I want to start painting. ⬇️

I decided that I immediately wanted to bring the elements of the cactus with a black pen. ⬇️

Nice drawing, really pleasant to observe and it was fun seeing your process.

I think your art suffered a little from the lack of contrast, while the illumination was good, it was really intense and there weren't shadows to help balancing it. And the light parts of the painting seem to mesh with the background.

Next drawing you should also use the CreativeCoin tag (CCC) it's an art tag that award tokens

Thank you very much for your tips. Yes, I also sometimes think that the drawings are not contrasting enough on white paper, I will try next time to use additional techniques, because I'm just studying and not a professional artist)

Even professionals are always studying and training, you are doing great! Keep the good work.

Studying about light sources, techniques and types of shading (cel shading and soft shading) may help you with a breakthrough in your art
