The best thing about Rebellion

Hello everyone! I'm entering the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

I am very excited about everything Rebellion will provide. Dual Summoners, new abilities, choosing an effect after seeing the opponent's team, and all the new cards that will shake up the meta. All of this is very cool. But there's one thing that is even better: getting rid of all those OP and super expensive Untamed cards that most players who joined in the past 2 years can't afford.

I think it's fair to say that Chaos Legion (the core set and all cards that belong to Chaos Legion from other editions) are better designed and more balanced than Untamed cards. Maybe the average power level of these sets is not that different between the 2 sets. The problem is that some cards are very strong and very expensive. Some of them are even difficult to find for rent at max level. When you do find them, the price is not worth it. The legendary summoners are clearly better than Chaos Legion's ones, Byzantine Kitty is easily the best card in the game but there are more. People always remember Byzantine Kitty, Yodin Zaku, and Scarred Llama Mage (along with Kron the Undying, although it doesn't need Llama at higher levels)but the other legendary summoners are often the best option in certain rule sets and when Fire, Earth and Dragon are not available. Those are not the only ones. I often lose to cards like Almo Cambio, Shieldbearer, Khmer Princess, Epona, Elven Mystic, Kelp Initiate, Sand Worm, Truthspeaker, Dragon Jumper, and others. Some of those cards don't do anything that can't be done by Chaos Legion cards. There's Tank Heal, Cleanse, and Triage available. But there are no cards like Khmer Princess or Kelp Initiate with 2 of those abilities for just 2 mana. Others are just unique. Almo Cambio can be very difficult to kill, especially paired with Kitty. We can't forget Mylor Crowling and Lorna Shine. These are 3 mana Summoners with amazing abilities. When I see all the Riftwatchers Summoners costing 4 mana with and, other than Ilthain, none of those abilities are half as good as these 2.

I can't wait for all of these cards to be gone from Modern forever! Maybe I won't be so happy, in 2 or 3 years, when Chaos Legion leaves Modern, but, for now, this is what I want the most from Rebellion. I can't wait for December 5th!

However, I want to say that I am excited about Rebellion itself. I really can't wait for things to be revealed. I want to see the new cards, new stats, new abilities, new summoners, etc. I believe Splinterlands still has a lot of untapped potential, and, some of it will begin to surface with Rebellion. It won't be all of it, otherwise, there would be nothing left for future sets, but I do believe we'll start to see new dimensions of this game with Rebellion. This is a fast-to-play auto-battler, and we shouldn't change that. But I think it's possible to create new angles without making it a different game.

I did not buy any packs. I thought about joining a group buy, but most of the DEC would have to be bought near peg value, and I gave up on that. I'll instead wait and buy cards individually.
