Why Vouchers are not a big problem

Hello! Today I will talk about Vouchers.

Lately, several people have wanted to eliminate Vouchers, even going as far as saying that they're the reason DEC is not at peg. That is not true for 2 main reasons:

1. The situations where people are burning Vouchers instead of DEC, they wouldn't necessarily burn DEC. That's because burning Vouchers makes it much cheaper. It might be worth it with Vouchers but not with DEC. It's very wrong to assume that without Vouchers, players would burn for the same stuff paying with DEC. Energy buying would be greatly reduced and Wild pass would be slightly reduced.

2. There are 2 things that mint much more DEC than Vouchers can replace: Leaderboards and CL core set and nonsoulbound reward set cards. Just from the RF versions of those cards, there's about 2 billion DEC that could be minted. No one expects all those cards to be burned. But it wouldn't surprise me if about half end up being burned, when they rotate out of Modern.

That isn't to say nothing should be done to Vouchers. The proposal that aims to create Vouchers only stuff and remove them from replacing DEC burned is pretty good. I'm voting in favor of that one. The one that wants to remove Vouchers and convert them to DEC B is unfair and creates more problems by printing a lot of DEC.
