My Actifit Report Card: August 2 2024 ( 3 days of being sick)

avatar

It's a Thursday morning, waking up so tired from the previous day activities. The whole Wednesday was just so stressful, because I spent all my day in the hospital and running around the laboratory to run some general body test .

So, on Tuesday I mentioned i was gonna go to the hospital because of how i felt that very day, a day after Tuesday was wednesday and I couldn't post my actifit report for wednesday, and this was because I wasn't feeling really good.

Starting from the Wednesday morning, i went straight to the hospital, and wanted to get some test done on me. The nurse took my blood samples and to get me tested, i couldn't go back home, i had to wait for 2 hours to get the test results.

The test results

When the test results came out, i got the shock of my life, everything in my body was just low except the malaria and typhoid.

The malaria 🦟 was two ++, the typhoid was much, my sugar levels was also low, i had cold too...

It was just too much, i had to tell the nurse to swing into action, she got some drips and some injections which i took them.

According to the nurse, i had to take 7 infusions for the whole three days of the treatment, I've taken 2 infusions on Wednesday, so i had five more to go.

Thursday

Due to the on going protest in Nigeria, i couldn't risk going out, so i told the nurse at the hospital to give me all my injections and infusions, so I'd them home, because I have a nurse close to my house who would attend to me .

I have a particular injection which i take every 12 hours. This morning and losing my appetite, i didn't feel like eating anything, the nurse suggested i eat bread and tea, which i ate few slices of bread.

challenging moments

After taking the injections, it was time to take the infusions, my veins refused response .
The nurse kept puncturing my veins to see if she would get a stable vein, she had to try about seven different veins until she got the perfect vein, it was super frustrating.

On the process of taking the infusion, i started reacting, my body became so restless and I felt so uneasy.

The nurse noticed and she gave me an injection to calm me down, which made me fall asleep.

Like it was not enough, the infusion stopped moving, then the nurse found out that, blood has clothed over the vein, and this was because i was weak. She punctured me again.

I took the infusion for 3 hours, before it could finish. Well, i feel much better now, although am not okay yet, but I'm good to an extent compared to how I was feeling earlier this week.

Friday

Friday was just indoors throughout, still at the hospital, i didn't do too much. There's an ongoing protest in Nigeria and this affected everyone, nobody wants to come outside.

Everyone is just scared, I'm glad the hospital has all the infusions and drugs i need for my treatment.

Tomorrow would make it four days of being admitted in the hospital. Am glad i would be living the hospital by tomorrow, after taking my last treatment.

A very big thank you, to everyone who has wished me quick recovery, i sincerely appreciate all your genuine concern, despite the fact that we don't know ourselves in person, but y'all showed concern. I love y'all

You should quickly raise your sugar level by doing some carbs. What are the types of food your mostly eat?

I'm sorry for everything. How are you currently feeling? Have you had all the infusions?

Speaking of my sugar level, am the reason why it's low, i always abstain from sugar, I'm always running away from artificial sugar, like soft drinks and the regular white sugar.

I'm done with all my infusions, am feeling better now.

Thanks for checking 🙂

It's actually good to run away from artificial sugar, I think eating sweet fruits gives you the added fructose you need, and you don't even still need artificial sugar.

Warm regards and get well too.
