My topic today is regarding the new update in Splinterlands. This is the second part of the ranked battle overhaul. Going back to the first change they made in the ranked battle where they removed the summoner league limit. Because of this update, even if your deck is bronze, you can be matched with a maximum card deck as long as you have the same rating.
In the second part, they revamped the reward system. Instead of reward chests, they introduced reward points or what they call Glint tokens that you can use to purchase items in the reward shop. With this update, they also removed the daily focus. The reason for its removal is to focus the players on their strategy to win because sometimes players are limited by their strategy as they need to fulfill their daily focus. With the new update, there is no longer an End of Season opening of reward chests; instead, it is replaced by the End of Season Glint Reward. Instead of chests at the end of the season, players will receive Glint tokens. The higher your rating, the bigger Glint reward you will receive at the end of the season.
The Glint Token
In the new update, we will no longer receive focus points and loot chests; instead, they have been replaced by Glint Tokens. Glint Tokens are not transferable; you can only use them in the reward store to purchase items. The End of Season chest rewards have also been replaced by Glint Tokens, where the higher your rating, the larger the Glint Token reward, and the more you can buy in the store. There is also a change in the reward for winners. Here, you will receive 50% more Glint Tokens in the modern format compared to the wild format.
GWEN'S GLINT SHOP
Introducing Gwen's Glint Shop. You can use the collected Glint rewards to exchange for loot chests. Here in the shop, you can purchase potions, energy, soulbound reward draws, and titles. Yes, you can also buy titles in this shop. Currently, there are three limited titles available in the shop: The Proven worth 1m Glint Tokens, The Veteran worth 2.5m Glint Tokens, and The Renowned worth 5m Glint Tokens.
For potions and energy, aside from Glint Tokens, you can still purchase them with DEC, DEC-B, and credits.
Soulbound Reward Card "Draws"

A higher draw entails a greater chance of obtaining gold foil and legendary cards, but it also requires spending more Glint Tokens. With each draw, you can open one card that may contain one or more copies.
BURNING SOULBOUND AND GLADUIS CARD
There is also a change in burning Gladuis cards. Before the update, when you burned a Gladuis card, you would receive DEC. In the new update, the first thing you will receive when burning a Gladuis card is merit. Additionally, in the new update, you can now burn soulbound cards. When burning a soulbound card, you will receive Glint Tokens equivalent to 10 times the collection power of the card.
OPENING OF SOULBOUND REWARD DRAW
I tried opening an SB reward draw. Because I lacked Glint Tokens, I also burned a soulbound card that I don't often use, a GF, so I could open 10 Elite Draws, where I have a 1.6% chance of getting a legendary card and a 4% chance of getting a gold foil card.
I didn't get any legendary soulbound cards when I opened the Elite Draw. If I were to burn the cards I obtained again, the total Glint Tokens I would get would be: 1k for common cards, 10625 for Gold Foil cards, and 1500 for Epic cards, totaling 13125. I would lose 11875 Glint Tokens from what I opened, which is worth 25k Glint Tokens.
