I share with you my new participation in the Splinterlands art contest and for my entry, I took as a reference and inspiration the Mycelic Morphoid character, since it is a card that despite its simplicity, you can take it as a great inspiration to make many fan arts of it, which is what I did.

Les comparo mi nueva participacion en el concurso de arte de Splinterlands y para mi entrada, tome como referencia e inspiración al personaje de Mycelic Morphoid, ya que es una carta de a pesar de su simplicidad, puedes tomarla como una gran inspiración para hacer muchos fan arts de la misma, lo cual fue lo que hice.

I started by making the sketch in traditional and then I passed it to the digital, using the drawing program Clip Studio Paint. When I get ready to detail the whole sketch, I see if the proportions of it are right or if any correction is needed too, to fix everything as I go detailing the whole drawing. The original character is a kind of poisonous creature, which can make a metamorphosis and thus be able to recreate itself and follow its life cycle and for my version, what I did was instead of making a creature, I went more for the part of making the character in general more humanized, but following in a way the theme of the original character.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en tradicional y luego la pase al digital, usando el programa de dibujo Clip Studio Paint. Cuando me dispongo a detallar todo el boceto, voy viendo si las proporciones del mismo están bien o si hace falta alguna corrección también, para ir arreglando todo a la par que voy detallando todo el dibujo. El personaje original es una especie de criatura venenosa, que puede hacer una metamorfosis y así poder recrearse a si mismo y seguir su siclo de vida y para mi versión, lo que hice fue en vez de hacer una criatura. me fui mas por la parte de hacer el personaje en general mas humanizado, poro siguiendo de cierto modo la temática del personaje original.

I start with a base color for the whole drawing and for that I use a light blue for what would be the skin, then I continue adding all the other colors for each respective area. The truth is a character that doesn't have so many colors, since his color palette is composed of only two main colors, which are red and purple, so I followed that same color palette to paint my version of the character.

Cuando tengo listo el boceto, lo que hago seguidamente es comenzar a agregar el color. Comienzo con un color base para todo el dibujo y para ello use un azul claro para lo que vendría siendo la piel, luego sigo agregando todos los demás colores para cada zona respectiva. La verdad es un personaje que no tiene en sí tantos colores, ya que su paleta de color esta compuesta por dos únicos colores principales, los cuales son el rojo y el morado, así que yo seguí esa misma paleta de color para pintar mi versión del personaje.

I add the redness in the face and the rest of the body, I also add the shadows and I also work on the lights, in truth in this step I always make a mess, since I work a little in each area and I add color and then I add shadows and then I go and detail the redness and then I go back and detail the lights and so on hahaha.

Cuando he agregado todo el color base, lo que comienzo a hacer es comenzar a detallar todo básicamente, voy bajando cada vez la opacidad del boceto, para así ir deshaciéndome del mismo a medida que voy detallando todo. Voy agregando los rojeces en la cara y resto del cuerpo, también voy agregando las sombras y trabajo también la luces, en verdad en este paso siempre hago un desastre, ya que voy trabajando en poco en cada zona y voy agrego color y luego vengo agrego sombras y luego voy y detallo las rojeces y vuelvo y detallo las luces y así sucesivamente jajaja.

After I have worked well all the composition of the drawing in terms of color, shadows and lights, what I do is to start adding the final details of the drawing, which basically is to add the glows and add a background that fits well to the character and ready friends, that would be all.

Luego que he trabajo bien toda la composición del dibujo en cuanto al color, sombras y luces, lo que hago es comenzar a agregar los detalles finales del dibujo, que básicamente es agregar los brillos y agregar un fondo que le pegue bien al personaje y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
