To participate in this week's art contest, I chose as a character to make my version of the ✨⚡Spark Pixies✨⚡ card, too good to do a thousand things with this Splinterlands character, so I gave myself the task to play with this card and see how my version of it would look like, so join me to see the process of this illustration:

Para participar en el concurso de arte de esta semana, elegí como personaje para hacer mi versión a la carta de ✨⚡Spark Pixies✨⚡, demasiado buena para hacer mil cosas con este personaje de Splinterlands, así que me di la tarea de jugar con esta carta y ver que tal quedaría mi versión de la misma, así que acompáñame a ver el proceso de esta ilustración:

I started making the sketch in traditional, taking as a reference the original card and an image of a ray that I found in Pinterest, that to give me an idea of how I would make the rays that I would integrate in the whole composition, which is basically the whole character in general. I pass the sketch to Clip Studio Paint once I have it ready and start to clean it all up and make a decent line art of it.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en tradicional, tomando como referencia la carta original y una imagen de un rayo que encontré en Pinterest, eso para darme una idea de como haría los rayos que integraría en toda la composición, que básicamente es todo el personaje en general. Paso el boceto al Clip Studio Paint una vez lo tengo listo y comienzo a limpiarlo todo y hacer un line art decente del mismo.

After polishing the sketch, I start to integrate the color in the whole composition. For this illustration I worked everything a little more sloppy, without so much detail, since the general composition of the drawing did not require so much detail itself, so the only thing I was doing was adding color and changing the combination of the layers by clarify or overlay, to give that illusion of lightning illumination and highlighting.

Luego de pulir el boceto, comienzo a integrar el color en toda la composición. Para esta ilustración trabaje todo de forma un poco mas desprolija, sin tanto detalle, ya que la composición general del dibujo no requería tantos detalles en sí, así que lo único que estuve haciendo fue agregar color y cambiando la combinación de las capas por aclarar o superponer, para darle esa ilusión de destallo e iluminación de un rayo.

I started adding the base color, which was like a white with yellow tones and after that, I started taking out all the stamps on the body, which were basically sloppy and meaningless lines in random areas on the character, remember that it is a character that is based on lightning and electricity, so if we see lightning in real life, they are very sloppy.

Comencé agregando el color base, que fue como un blanco con tonos amarillos y luego de eso, comencé a sacar todos los destellos en el cuerpo, que básicamente fueron lineas desprolijas y sin sentido en zonas al azar en el personaje, recordemos que es un personaje que esta basado en rayos y electricidad, así que si vemos los rayos en la vida real, son muy desprolijos.

And after doing that step, what I do is to start adding the details, which basically was to add light in layers, using the combination of lighten and overlay, so it gave that super bright top to the whole character. I also added some sparkles in the background and around the character and that gave a more realistic touch to the character. Finally what I did was to adjust the colors to make it more yellow, because it was too white and I wanted it to look like a thunder or lightning of those that Pikachu makes hahaha and that's it friends, that would be all.

Y luego de hacer ese paso, lo que hago es comenzar a agregar los detalles, que básicamente fue agregar luz en capas, usando la combinación de aclarar y superponer, así le daba ese tope super luminoso a todo el personaje. También agrego unos destellos en el fondo y alrededor del personaje y eso le dio un toque mas real al mismo. Por ultimo lo que hice fue ajustar los colores para hacerlo mas amarillo, porque me había quedado muy blanco y yo quería que se viera como un trueno o rayo de esos que hecha Pikachu jajaja y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
