Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! Yet another fan art from @splinterlands folks and I really loved it. This time I chose ✨💀🌙 Doctor Blight 🌙💀✨ to participate this week in the art contest and yes, it's another drawing that I do again for the second time, since the first time I did it in traditional, but that drawing if horrendous hahaha. So I wanted to make this character again, but making a good drawing as it should be.
Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Otro fan art más de @splinterlands gente y realmente me encanto. Esta vez elegí a ✨💀🌙 Doctor Blight 🌙💀✨ para participar esta semana en el concurso de arte y sí, es otro dibujo que vuelvo a hacer por segunda vez, ya que la primera vez lo hice en tradicional, pero aquel dibujo si quedo horrendo jajaja. Entonces quise volver a hacer este personaje, pero haciendo un buen dibujo como se debe.
I started making the sketch in a layer to structure my version of the character. I did it little by little and I took the original illustration as a reference to integrate the elements of the character. For my version I wanted to change the cane for a more sinister or dark one in a certain way, and I made one that was like a cane in the shape of a hand and was holding a skull, almost as if it were a scepter of darkness. And for the lamp what I did was to make it with a skull on top and the light is emitted by fluorescent mushrooms, so I gave a little more fantasy to the character and I didn't make it so boring. The truth is that it took me a couple of hours to get the whole sketch ready and after that, I went on to make the line art.
Comencé haciendo el boceto en una capa para estructurar mi versión del personaje. Lo fui haciendo poco a poco y tome como referencia evidentemente la ilustración original para ir integrando los elementos del mismo. Para mi versión quise cambiar el bastón por uno más siniestro u oscuro de cierto modo, e hice uno que fuera como un bastón en forma de mano y estuviese sosteniendo un cráneo, casi como si fuese un cetro de oscuridad. Y para la lampara lo que hice fue hacerla con un cráneo en la parte superior y la luz la emiten unos hongos fluorescentes, así le di un poco mas de fantasía al personaje y no lo deje o hice tan aburrido. La verdad me tomo un par de horas tener listo todo el boceto y luego de eso, pase a hacer el line art.

After the line art, I started to do the color work. I must say that this time I didn't struggle so much with the color work, because the truth is that there wasn't much to do, since the character has a dark suit, so the color palette I used here is very dark and not so striking, that's why I chose to integrate elements that called the attention in the composition of the character and made it more attractive visually speaking, such as the cane and the lamp. These elements that I changed in this drawing, really were the ones that gave color to the drawing, since without them the character would have remained, practically in total darkness.
Después del line art, comencé a hacer el trabajo de color. Debo decir que esta vez no batalle tanto con el trabajo de color, ya que la verdad no había mucho que hacer, puesto a que el personaje en su totalidad tiene un traje oscuro, entonces la paleta de color que use acá es muy oscura y no tan llamativa, por eso es que opte por integrar elementos que llamaran la atención en la composición del personaje y lo hiciesen mas atractivo visualmente hablando, como lo fueron el bastón y la lampara. Estos elementos que cambie en este dibujo, realmente fueron los que le dieron color al dibujo, ya que sin ellos el personaje hubiese quedado, prácticamente en oscuridad total.

After applying the base colors in the drawing, which was basically black in most of the character, I began to detail the lights and shadows throughout the work. Practically the shadows and lights were what gave life to the drawing, otherwise it would have been black and white and not so striking. For this the only thing I used were color mixing brushes and marker, really what I was doing was applying color and mixing, the truth is I didn't do anything else in this drawing, apply color and mix, to give that touch of light reflecting on the character's clothes, this is about the light work.
Después de aplicar los colores base en el dibujo, que básicamente fue negro en la gran mayoría del personaje, comencé a detallar la luces y sombras en todo el trabajo. Prácticamente las sombras y luces fueron lo que le dieron vida al dibujo, de lo contrario hubiese quedado en blanco y negro y no tan llamativo. Para esto lo único que use fueron pinceles mezcladores de color y marcador, realmente lo que estuve haciendo fue aplicar color y mezclar, la verdad no hice otra cosa más en este dibujo, aplicar color y mezclar, para darle ese toque de luz reflejándose en la ropa del personaje, estro en cuanto al trabajo de luz.

To finish with this drawing, what I did was to add some kind of vine branches in the composition and some glitter in the background, to make them look like fireflies and that's it, my friends.
Para culminar con este dibujo, lo que hice fue agregar como una especie de ramas enredaderas en la composición y algunos brillos en el fondo, para que hiciesen o simularan luciérnagas y listo amigos.
