To participate in this week's Splinterlands Social Media, I took as a reference and inspiration the character of Vampiric Blossom, which is a super big and grotesque carnivorous plant that seriously speaking, I love.

I start structuring the whole character in traditional, taking as main reference the original character. I wanted to make my version a little more disheveled in the sense of having a couple of branches in the composition, giving illusion of arms and also played with the pose of the character itself, I really tried to make a different version of it.

Comienzo estructurando todo el personaje en tradicional, tomando como referencia principal al personaje original. Quise hacer mi versión un poco mas desaliñada en sentido de que tuviese un par de ramas en la composición, dando ilusión a brazos y también jugué con la pose del personaje en sí, en verdad trate de hacer una versión diferente del mismo.

After I have structured the sketch in traditional, what I do is to take a photo and pass it to the clip studio paint, so I can start to detail it with a good line art. After that, I start to work the color in the illustration, which for my version, I wanted to go only with green as the main color, because in the original version, there are many shades of colors and most of them were to work the shadows, so I did all that only with green.

Luego que tengo estructurado el boceto en tradicional, lo que hago es tomarlo una foto y pasarla la clip studio paint, para así comenzar a detallar el mismo con un buen line art. Luego de eso, comienzo a trabajar el color en la ilustración, que para mi versión, quise irme solamente con el color verde como color principal, ya que en la versión original, hay muchos tonos de colores y la gran mayoría fue para trabajar las sombras, así que yo hice todo eso solo con verde.

I add the base color and then I go to work the shadows in different layers, since I make many variations of the shadows working from the lightest to the darkest. After that, what I do is to start detailing the drawing and I do it very superficially, what do I mean by this? I don't detail everything excessively, I just try to make it look good, I'm not being such a perfectionist.

Agrego el color base y luego me voy a atrabajar las sombras en capas diferentes, ya que hago muchas variaciones de las sombras trabajando desde las mas claras a las mas oscuras. Luego de eso, lo que hago es comenzar a detallar el dibujo y lo hago muy superficial, a que me refiero con esto? A que no detallado todo excesivamente, solo trato de dejar atendible todo y que se vea bien, estoy dejando de ser tan perfeccionista.

To finish with the illustration, what I do is to add a few lights in the composition and as with the shadows, I add from the lightest to the most intense lights. I detail his teeth, adding "blood" and continue adding lights everywhere. I add a background with blurred colors and besides that, I add a few branches as well and that's it folks, that would be it.

Para finalizar con la ilustración, lo que hago es agregar unas cuantas luces en la composición y al igual que con las sombras, voy agregando desde las luces mas claras a las mas intensas. Detallo sus dientes, agregando "sangre" y sigo agregando luces por doquier. Agrego un fondo con colores difuminados y ademas de eso, agrego unas cuantas ramas también y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
