Battle Mage Secrets Weekly challenge... and a giveaway!

Yes, this post is waaaaay delayed. One week later, actually. But hopefully, the giveaways and challenges will get on track from now on. I still haven't been able to resume gameplay on my main account, but my alt keeps on battling, on the funniest game mode that is in dire need of some love for real human players... alas, I digress. I checked this week's prompt for the battle challenge, and here it is:

Little league it is, where both summoners and cards can have a max of 4 mana; a fun ruleset, and one my alt played recently! So, let's see how it fared.

Two more rulesets in this batle: enraged, so any monster that loses hp immediatly gets the enrage ability; and corrosive fog, meaning at each round all monsters lose 1 armor.

Strategy and lineup:

• Zintar Mortalis as the summoner: reducing melee attacks is always good. Mana wasn't a problem here and the CL summoner has an extra ability, but this was my only death summoner available .
• Animated corpse as tank: a pretty decent tank with void, and high health for the low mana
• Venari Bonesmith: life leech and poison make it a great choice even in higher mana battles; fits perfectly here.
• Revealer: not high attack, but the stun ability can be incredibly useful if it triggers (spolier: it did)
• Centaur: fast ranged damage dealer,
• Twisted Jester: awesome ranged damage dealer with high damage; fortunately has its place in wild format!
• Ravenhood Warden: mainly here for the protect ability, giving armor to the entire team.

The lineup was focused on snipe damage, with two decent snipers on my team. My opponent chose the death cl summoner, and using probably the best low mana tank in the cl set: Xenith monk. Followed by revealer and bonesmith (as me, but with switched positions), another unit with leech, the life leecher; and finishing with the warden and venari spellsmith.

A similar team, but I noticed I had a huge advantage: since most opponent attackers had 1 magic damage and my tank had void, it made it immune to almost all attacks!

It took almost two rounds to see the first fatality, but my snipers managed to take out the revealer; meanwhile, my opponent's tank was low on health and already poisoned by the bonesmith.

And before the round ended, my revealer stunned the tank again; with only 1 hp left and poison damage at the beginning of next round, tank was as good as down. Besides, as a new round would start al the cards with 1 armor would lose it because of the corrosive fog ruleset, leaving the opponent's team as an easy target for my snipers.

And at the end of round 3, only the warden and the spellsmith remained; void ability made my tank last throughout the entire battle! You can see the full gameplay here.

It felt great seeing some of these older cards on the battlefield again!
