Super Sneak Decrease The Effectivenes of Stampede Ruleset


Hello, Splinterlands player we meet again, today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Stampede ruleset.

I battled in the Gold Tournament Modern Format Diamond League using my scholar accounts from Balthazar.

Ruleset

  • stampede.png Stampede ruleset, The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.
    • Trample ability, every time the monster attacks and kills the enemy monster it will attack the monster behind.
  • Super Sneak, all monsters have Sneak ability.
    • Sneak ability: melee monster can attack the enemy in the last position from any position.
  • Fire & Regret, all monsters have Return Fire ability.
    • When hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage to their attacker. Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
  • mana cap.
  • we can use elements except Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

What I'm thinking in this battle :
Usually in a battle like this who can use the Water element we want to use a Unit with the Trample ability from the water element The Diemonshark :

But with a ruleset Super Sneak and can use the Life element usually the enemy will focus on attacking our unit in the back because the Life element has great unit Jared Scar, every time it kills our unit all stats will increase by 1 :

That's why we decided to focus on handling this unit. Although we can put the Diemonshark behind and it will attack the enemy unit in the last position, The Stampede ruleset will not work because after The Diemonshark kills the enemy unit, there is no monster behind it, so it can't attack anymore, which means the advantage having Trample ability is disabled, that's why we decided to focus on the enemy unit Jared Scar because this unit is too dangerous to ignore.

In this battle, we chose the Death element because it has a good summoner which I think can help to battle against Jared Scar, I will discuss more in the Conclusion section.

This is my lineup for this battle :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Astral Entity, Summoner. Can decrease the enemy armor by -2, Give Dodge the ability to ally monsters, and have Resurrect ability.We used this Death summoner because can give Resurrect ability (bring back one friendly monsters who die), we will use this ability to defend against Super Sneak Ruleset. Dodge (increase chance to evade the enemy melee and range attack by 25%) and The decrease in the enemy armor will make the enemy easier to kill.
Wily Coyotian, 2nd Position, attacker and tanker, Has ability Phase.Phase ability make this monster can evade the magic attack, with this ability this monster can evade all melee, range, and magic attack. I put it in the first position In case the enemy brings a magic attack, I hope can evade some attacks with the help of our summoner Dodge ability. With only 2 mana costs the stats is good.
Chaos Agent, 2nd Position, Tanker, Has ability Dodge, Phase, and Backfire.Phase ability same ability like Wily Coyotian. Placed in 2nd position to become a 2nd tanker if our Wily Coyotian dies. The Dodge ability is the same as our summoner ability so the buff Dodge ability from the summoner does not give any advantage.
Venator Kinjo, 3rd position, support. Has the ability Reflection Shield, Camouflage, Immunity, and Slow.I used it because of the Slow ability, it will decrease all enemy unit speed by -1, I hope can increase the chance for our melee unit, especially to the tanker to evade the enemy attack. Reflection Shield ability will Ignore the damage from Blast, Thorns, Magic Reflect, and Return Fire . Amplify ability in this battle will increase the damage of the Fire & Regret ruleset and Thorns ability form Curse Windeku. The enemy monster can't attack this monster unless moves to the first position because has Camouflage ability. Immunity ability make this monster immune to all negative status like Poison, Stun, Blind, Cripple, etc.
Curse Windeku, 4th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Thorn, and Heal.If our monster in the last position dies the enemy unit who has Sneak ability will attack this monster. Has Thorns ability if the melee unit hits this unit will get damaged by -2.The most important thing is that this monster has the Heal ability to restore some of the HP each round.
Dumacke Orc, 5th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Shield and Retaliate.I put this monster behind to protect our monster in front from the Sneak attack it's a strong defender against melee and range attacks because has a Shield ability which decreases melee and range damage by 50 percent. Has Retaliate ability, if this unit is hit by the enemy melee unit have a 50% chance this unit will attack back.

Conclusion

Our prediction is correct the enemy used Jared Scar from Life element, although it's not an easy battle because the enemy brought the summoner Lorna Shine which makes all the enemy units immune to the damage from the first attack and Evelyn Auvera as the tanker behind which has Thorns ability same as our Windeku. Fortunately, at round 4, we can kill the enemy unit Jared Scar before it becomes too strong :

The strategy is working our tanker Dumacke Orc can defend against many attacks including Jared Scar (although it kill by Jared Scar once) with the help of the Resurrection ability it comes back alive until the end of the round :
