Melee Mayhem ft Melee Only | Splinterlands Battle Mage Secret Challenge !

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Mage Secret Challenge, there is Melee Malyhem which allow melee monster to attack from any position, and not just that, I also found a match that only allow melee monster to act, this will be a massive battle with demoralize have major impact on the match. Let's see how it goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Armored Up : All unit started with +2 armor addition
Up Close n Personal : Only monster with melee attack may be used
Melee Mayhem : Melee monster can attack from any position
37 mana cap: Medium High mana cap, could try many variation strategy
Splinter available : All splinter except for water is available

My Lineup's Explanation :

Tankerimage.pngShieldLow level card, but I aim to reduce any attack with the shield ability. With help of 2 demoralize, I wish she could stand long on the front.
2nd Monsterimage.png-Wasting enemies attack while giving tiny help attack.
3rd Monsterimage.pngVoid Armor, Demoralize, Giant KillerHaving high armor to stand as 3rd tanker, with usefull demoralize to debuff enemies melee attack, plus the giant killer in case facing high mana monster.
4th Monsterimage.pngBloodlust, True Strike, PiercingThe main damage dealer for my team. With high true aim damage plus the bloodlust to allow him become stronger, I expect this monster to wipe all enemies and become the strongest monster.
5th Monsterimage.pngSneak, PoisonI guess my enemies would put hard tank on the front and might use demoralize which makes it hard to giving melee damage, that's why I put this monster with poison to give true damage each turn, and aim the backline which often have usefull ability or stats.
6th Monsterimage.pngDemoralize, Stampede, Heavy HitterUsefull damage dealer while debuffing enemies melee attack. Had quite good health and amor which can be usefull to be the backline tanker.

Does My Strategy is Worked ? :

At the end of 1st round, both team stand still, but luckily my uraeus manage to poison the backline monster and it's eliminated after getting poisoned despite the armor still 2 there.

At the end of 2nd round, I lost my tanker, which left both team with 5-5 situation.

At 3rd round, both team lost their front monster, which left both team with 4-4 situation, but I am lucky again to have my uraeus poison activate now to the enemies disintegrator.

Now my enemy lost their front monster again, it's 4 vs 3 situation for my team now.

My tanker got eliminated at the end of 5th round, now we both left with 3 monster, but again, the poison worked well, and I'm lucky my enemies poison didn't worked out.

Now it's become a clear after my enemies lost 2 monster on 1 round with the front and back monster both eliminated.

Discuss Melee Mayhem :

What Should We Get :
Since it's all about melee monster, a buff for damage and debuff for reducing melee monster is very usefull. Shield ability is very usefull as well to reduce the melee damage by half (could be taken 0 damage if enemies having 1 melee damage). And to anticipate the game of 0 damage, getting a monster with poison is very usefull as well. You can counter enemies attack with thorn or backfire and high speed to hurt them back.

What Should We Avoid:

Avoid put the monster with usefull buff and debuff or with high damage on the front, because everyone will attack the front monster by default.

What would i do next ?
Well, if the water element is available, it will be interesting to have monster with opportunity and more poison, plus the retaliate shark on the front helped with the blind ability from the squid.

Conclussion

Will all melee monster are able to attack from anywere, it will be very usefull if you could buff their damage up or debuff enemies melee attack with the demoralize. Try getting shield ability for the front monster because it will reduce all melee damage by half and could nerve 1 melee damage into zero. To avoid the same strategy, get some monster with poison ability is a great idea. And don't forget to put the usefull monster on the safe position because the front will likely taking great damage from enemies.
