Sanctus Vicar and His New Ability to Splinterlands
Let's talk about this special monster, with new special ability
Sanctus Vicar is duo element monster with water and fire element. As ranger, he got 2 range damage at the first level, and can be upgraded into 3 since 7th level. Now let's move to the abilities. Sanctus Vicar is having ability that is new to the game, it's the cleanse rearguard, that can give the last monster a cleanse effect (which usually can only given to the tank or front monster). This will change the game a lot. Not just cleansing the back, at 4th level he will got the cleanse for the front monster as well. And at max level, he got the reflection shield.
The Use of Cleanse Rearguard
There is several use of the cleanse rearguard that I think could work well.
#1.First for the noxious fumes ruleset, where we used to only could cleanse the tanker, now with the cleanse rearguard, we could prepare a deadly hitter at the back without afraid it will damaged by the poison.
#2.Avoid getting poisoned by uraeus. Uraeus is one of my favourite monster because this little monster can sneak into your backline and poisoned them to eliminate the backline faster. With the cleanse rearguard.
My Battle with Sanctus Vicar

Sanctus Vicar on this match is cleansing the backline -1 health effect from enemies summoner. He is potentially cleansing poison as well if enemies archer is poisoned my backline monster, but since the backline not poisoned, instead the sanctus vicar itself that getting poisoned, he become less effective, because unlike the triage that could heal any monster outside the tanker, the rearguard cleanse are only able to cleanse the monster on the most back position. This give me idea about using a taunt monster on the back at the next battle, because he will be usefull to remove their negative effect such as stun or affliction and poisoned which often cause trouble for the backline and heal strategy.
