Stunner Maneuver ! | Splinterlands Weekly Battlemage Secret Challenge

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is maneuver ruleset, that gives every monster reach ability to attack from 2nd position. On heavy hitter ruleset, I tried to bring a stunner for the 2nd position in order to get double damage if they are stunned. Does my strategy work? Let's see how it goes!

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Reverse Speed : Lower speed monster will attack first and having chance to evade attack
Heavy Hitter : Stunned monster will take double damage from enemies
Maneuver : All monster have reach ability
25 mana cap: Medium low mana cap
Splinter available : Earth, Life, Death, and Dragon Splinter are available

My Lineup's Explanation :

2nd Monsterimage.pngStunBeing a great hitter from behind with the stun ability. If his stun coming, all team mates will deal massive double damage to the enemies tanker.
3rd Monsterimage.png-Just a decoy that can help attack on 2nd position and on the front.
4th Monsterimage.pngSilence, Heal, Affliction, DebuffDamage dealer and support with many usefull ability such as heal for the tank, affliction for stop enemies regen and heal, silence to reduce magic damage from enemies, and debuff to clean all enemies tanker buff.
5th Monsterimage.pngCamouflage, Void, WeakenMain hitter but very fragile with low health, thats why he is given camouflage to avoid being target by enemies He also have weaken to reduce enemies health.
6th Monsterimage.pngScattershot, PoisonCan be very usefull to poison random backline monster with the scattershot.

The battle scene are also explained below:

At the end of 1st round, both team are losing 1 monster, with enemies lose their tanker while my team lose the main hitter due to reflect magic.

At the end of 2nd round, I lost another magician due to Sniper Katie, which give her a bloodlust.

At the end of 3rd round, I manage to eliminate dangerous enemies hitter and their backline. Now it's 4 vs 2 situation for my team.

At the end of 4th round, my tanker eliminated and Katie is got another bloodlust. Luckily their backline is getting poisoned and eliminated.

Finally, Katie is eliminated. My team win the match even the stun didn't appeared as it's supposed to do.

Discuss About Maneuver :


What Should We Get :
Since any melee now able to attack from the 2nd position, this is a golden chance to bring deadly melee damager that might not good enough as tanker but could be very dangerous with bloodlust, such as what my enemies bring. Double strike melee could be great as well such as the water element one, because the damage they give will massive. Having demoralize ability is a great idea because the enemies will have tendency to use melee monster. And put the tank that counter melee damage is usefull as well due to same reason as before.


What Should We Avoid: Avoid having weak tanker, because it will cause the 2nd monster with the reach ability likely will face enemies faster and could getting hurt before dealing much damage.

What would i do next ?
Well, it will depend on the other ruleset, just like what I did with the heavy hitter ruleset.

Conclussion

With the ability of reach for all melee monster, maneuver ruleset bring golden opportunity to get deadly hitter to attack from the 2nd position. Makes sure you had solid tank or a taunt backline to give longer time for that hitter giving damage. Try getting anti melee buff or tanker because enemies will likely using melee monster to reap the maneuver benefit.
