My first week in Splinterlands
Today i completed my first week in the game and this is all that i learned in this short period of time.
RENT
If you want to climb the ladder you need to rent cards, that is the cheapest way to climb without spend many dollars in the game. In my opinion you need to have at least a little notion about all the decks, because that is the only way you could know what exactly you can face in your games. I know that is not a easy task to accomplish, but you'll have to bear with that if you really want to climb.
DIARY QUEST
You need to understand one point, in the beginning it can be very hard to complete your quest. I will talk about some experiences i has in this week. After read many posts and watch a couple of videos, i made my decision to rent earth and fire cards. The problem is that the quest have many options like win 5 games with earth deck, win 3 games without neutral cards, win 5 games with a sneak monster in your team an so on. You have only 1 chance to change your quest and some days you can get really unluck, picking two quests in a row with decks that you don't know exactly how to play or that you just don't have the cards you need. In this days you have two options, first try to spend your capture rate trying to win or just forget your quest and play with the deck you think is the best option there. In my case i tried the two options and right now i only utilize the second case. When i need to win life or death decks i just ignore the mission and play my games, if i enter a game where i really think some of this decks is worth a try ok, if it isn't so be it. The mission in novice/bronze just don't pay you well enough to compensate to all the capture rate you will probably burn trying to complete the mission.
LOSE STREAK
There will be moments when you will lose many games in a row, don't stress, that is normal and everyone will pass for this kind of situation while playing. You just need to take a deep breathe and forget about the game, go drink water, take a stroll or just do some other thing. When you are relaxed enough you can go back to play.
HAVE FUN
Never forget that this is a game, a lucrative one i know, but it's a GAME. Don't live like your life depends off your results here, just play and have fun. If you can earn a lot of money nice, its a plus, but you need to enjoy the time you will spend playing, because if you don't do this, it will be just another job (and that is not fun).
Note: I'm not a english native so i think you will note a lot of gramatic errors here and there, if you encounter some error please tell me in the comments so i can edit the post. Thank you for read my post i will try to public something every week from now on.
