Participating in Splinterlands Tournaments...
Tournaments are the places where you get to see extreme talents lurking in the battle field. I have been facing some very good opponents lately in Tournaments. Which is making me think multiple times before submitting a battle in the ranked matches. This includes veteran players and some unique strategies which are being used by them. It is intriguing when you get to play with players who are better than you in the battle field.
Ferexian Modern Silver Invitational
It was a Silver league event. All modern cards were available. The first problem which occurred was not being able to utilize all the abilities of the card. I had to face several issues regarding this fact. As after the upgrade of Splinterlands where we can utilize all the cards to its full extent it has become more like a habit. Which is why getting back to the old format where Leagues hold our hands in utilizing most of the cards is disheartening.
That being said, new strategies needed to be made. In addition had to find ways how to counter the opponent in best possible ways. To be honest, it was a mess. But it was a whole new experience to go through!
So far there is still time before the tournaments gets to see an end. I am wondering, if I would be able to get be within 100 or not. As there few more battles which needs to be completed before I get to see an actual result. The best case scenario would be getting to the last position, where I end up with 23 SPS as reward. Not too Shaby but tbh for this reward going through all the battle submission does not sound that much likely. But either way, it was really exciting to get to play with experienced players and above all, I was able to secure some patters of those players. Which I will be able to utilize with my opponents in the coming battles.
Few Battles
In this battle the mana cap was of 58. We were given two Splinter to use, Dragon and Earth. I went with Earth Splinter as I had the best option out in here. Selecting my monsters were pretty simple. Mycelic as tank becuase I wanted him to take the most of the attacks as my other monsters does the most damages to my opponents. Regal in the second position was due to the fact of its magic attack and its Speed. It would be able to dodge some attacks from the opponent, if my tank gets taken out. Myceleic S.W was purposefully for taking the hits of other monsters with its taunt ability.

I gave in such a position where it would be perfect to utilize. Scavo was there becuse of its blast and rust ability. It gets to be a very effective monsters in some situations. Goblin, the healer. Perfect place for it to be. Not to mention its magic attack comes to be real handy in battles such as this. and not to forget about Venari, it sure comes in handy with its scavanger ability and I wanted a range attack monster just in case. Perfect place to do its task and help my healer along the way.
Second battle
Nothing much I was expecting a lot in this battle. As I was being over cautious but I suppose it was well worth it! If only it was a match with all the monsters who would be able to utilize their power at full form, the scenario would have been a lot different.
Man, I was literally crushed by the GOLDIEEEEEE.....
If you see the battle, you can realize how difficult it was for me to actually guess the opponents strategy. I guess, this is what I was talking about. When you make a mistake, the opponent will not just give you a pass by. They will crush you in every way possible. A nice match to watch ;)

Well, I am planning to participate in more tournaments and polish my skills as much possible. As the way it is going, Splinterlands will either see a very good return or else it will go the other way around. But since the game Survived this many odds, it will see the light at the end of the tunnel. Till then keep on playing and winning! And in case if you loose just keep on going forward...................
