One of the most awaited events on SPlinterlands has eventually started yesterday! The Runi-core minting has begun! For this starting phase, only whitelisted users will be eligible to mint RUNI! Whereas, the public mint countdown page will go live on OpenSea's homepage Nov 2, prior to the Nov 3 public mint will start!

As soon as the countdown hit "0", players started rushing to the opensea page and started to mint their RUNI. The excitement in the maverick chat was one of a kind! Literally all the players were excited to see and explore the Runi of their own or be a part of others openings. In this rush the price of ETH literally surged and thus followed the gas price. Lately I have been watching Gwei below 10 most of the time but yesterday it went almost to 30. Little rush and excitement, I suppose it was worth it.

Before the Runi mint, I got prepared by connecting my ETH wallet to Splinterlands. Visited the site of opensea and was patiently waiting for all this to calm down. As in my past experience in ETH projects whenever there is a rush to purchase/ get allocation rushing towards the payments clogs the chain and users have to pay an additional fees as gas price. So that was also the issue for myself to wait little bit and just enjoy the minting of others. I must admit after watching the Runi's of others I was not able to stop myself to mint my Runi. So as soon as the environment slowly started to calm down I started to mint my Runi. The steps were pretty easy to perform. I am sharing it any way, just in case

• Visit the Runi Tab in Splinterlands
• Connect ETH wallet (which was signed up for whitelist)
• Fill your ETH wallet with Ethereum (I took 0.2 ETH)
• Visit Open Sea and connect ETH wallet
• Hit the MINT and confirm transaction! Voila

Few complications were received during the first few minutes as people were rushing into opensea and minting their Runi. It was something like all the Runi's were having similar attributes in color. But the team of Splinterlands handled the situation very smoothly and slowly the RUNI's were taking their original forms. I was mostly excited about Gold foils. As they were extremely rare to be precise only 2% will be GF. So that was something to look out for.

Unfortunately, my only RUNi did not turn into gold foil. Well, I was not really sad but not that happy either. I know with only one it was quite imbecile of me to expect a GF lol. But either way I came up with this mint.

These Runis are Unique as you can see their background, appearance, power core, Head, hand are completely different from the others. As most of the Runis have black and white background. With the usual monster. Nothing unsual. In the trait section below your monster, the more unique feature you have the more valuable your Runi is!

Nft market is always crazy. And even that people buy and sell this sort of NFT's with unimaginable prices. Which makes it even more interesting! Currently RUNI market there are Runi's available at as below as o.33 ETH and as high as 500 ETH. Yeah that 500 is something not going to happen ever lol. The floor price is at o.333 ETH. Not bad I would say! While it is a much expected progress for Splinterlands and its economy as well. A great leap forward.

But I must admit Splinterlands has grown so much over the years and as of today we do have assets on another blockchain. That is more than am achievement. What else is awaiting for us in Splinterlands in the coming days! I can't wait to witness all that!
