Vouchers within Splinterlands....

Splinterlands has been one of the amazing aspect which came into many Hive users lives. It was probably my best play to earn gaming experience so far. Although, it has been watching some decline in price of its related assets but there could be a come back if we get to utilize everything that is under our control.

Splinterlands has way too many token in its eco system at the moment. SPS, DEC, Vouchers, GLINT and in land there are couple of others. It is understandable that there were certain conditions where it was necessary to bring n new tokens for the growth of the eco system just like there when the company needed staffs to grow in the past. But we know what happened when the times were not correct for and the company had to go through the phase of lay offs. As it was a necessary steps which needed to be taken in order to keep the company alive.

VOUCHERS

Quite similar to above situation, we need to come up with strategy which would help the ecosystem to thrive in the coming days. Yes, the whole of market is currently going through a correction phase. It will take some time to recover. In between those times, lets talk about the correction and modification which can be done in order to make the game little bit less confusing to the new comers.

Vouchers were introduced in 2021, with some lucrative offers. Although, coming at this point I would say it has served its purpose and currently without this token it would not be a very tough path in the coming days. A proposal has been made by @cryptoeater ( here is the post if you want to take a look at it). Multiple suggestions have been made and some points have been included which is holding back new users to get a clean and smooth experience upon coming to this game. Such as this

Another issue is the difficulty of obtaining vouchers, especially for non-crypto users, or even non-hive-native crypto users. This creates a terrible experience for onboarding new players who may want to buy packs directly from the store, or any other feature that uses vouchers, such as buying energy. This discourages new players by making them feel that they pay extra, or learning an entirely new system just to play a game.

On the other side there are issues regarding trust. Yes, if I get to invest in a new game and see a proposal coming up to nerf a reward which was promised by the team which will be available for a long time, I would be sort of hesitant to invest. As having the idea of what if another reward gets to be nerfed in the future by a proposal.

There will always be two sides of the coin. The decisions would be difficult to make. The community can decide what will happen to this proposal as usual. But whatever it happens, lets not bring down the trust in the game and its future endeavors. Instead, we should focus on bringing more and more utility to the tokens that are in the game. Yes, there are too many tokens to deal with but now that it is done lets not bring the game down with it. In future lets be more and more cautious about the game and its future.
