Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Mindblown By Double Weapons Training

Time flies! Just completed the 156th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 10 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 14 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Decent finish but was let down my participation as well. Sometimes I wonder how many people are playing Splinterlands these days.

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 4 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

I was outnumbered in terms of cards on the board but my cards were extremely strong. Cruel Sethropod was extremely tanky at the front and Isgald Vorst managed to secure enough Bloodlust to bring home the win! Good start to the brawl!

Battle 2 - WIN

Opponent fled! Yay!

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Chimney Wallstop

Oh my goodness! My opponent had Double Weapons Training on the Gladius card and it simply destroyed my team. That's a first time for me, seeing a no attack having learnt 2 attack types. Am mind blown!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

My opponent fielded just two cards for a 38 mana battle. What on earth happened? This was just almost like a free win and there wasn't much effort required from my cards to earn this win. Not complaining of course. Hahaha.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

This battle went on and on and both teams tried to make use of Martyr and eventually, Poison took out all the cards, left just the two cards with Immunity to battle it off. And without a doubt, Forgotten One being the only one with an attack, came out tops. Phew!

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 80% win rate this time round! Pretty decent in my view!
