Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Pelacor Bandit Scores A MVP!

Time flies! Just completed the 140th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 5th!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 10 guilds and got 592 Merits and around 15 SPS! A whole bag of SPS!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild! Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I struggled to field a lineup for this battle because I didn't know how to counter a single card Quora Towershead. In the end, my worst fear came true and my opponent indeed fielded Quora Towershead. There was just nowhere out of this for me.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

These Neutral card battles are extremely tricky because my card collection is quite limited, even though I have added Ulundin Overseer into my collection recently. Fortunately, the secret sauce was in the choice of summoner and Astral Entity's -2 Armor was the key difference in this battle.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

My damage output for this battle was way superior compared to my opponent and that was enough. A little hard to pick the MVP because it was really a team effort - so I went with the one that inflicted the most damage.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Finally I could play Gladius cards!! Isgald Vorst came in, did its usual things with the Opportunity hits, clocked the Bloodlust, and brought the team to a comfortable win. Routine yet never taking such efficient lineups for granted.

Battle 5 - WIN

Opponent fled! Yay!

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Both teams came up with very similar lineups, and both lineups were in fact pretty strong. Both max levels Deeplurker and Isgald Vorst were in play. It's interesting that this battle wasn't as close as I thought, and if I had to pick a deciding factor, it would be the Sneak attacks on my opponent's backline. Credit goes to Pelacor Bandit!

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 83% win rate! Almost a third perfect brawl in a row, but was stopped by the dreaded Quora, and I just can't do anything about it. No surprises for the rest, which was good enough.
