Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Summoners Dominated The Brawls!

Time flies! Just completed the 165th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 3 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 9 guilds and got 377 Merits and around 16 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Decent finish but was let down my participation as well. Sometimes I wonder how many people are playing Splinterlands these days. But at least we improved from our previous brawl where we finished 6th!

Individually, I had 3 fights this time and I won 2 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 5 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

A tricky low mana battle and both teams fielded Captain Katie! Chuul Jujinchi was the difference because having a 3 mana summoner allowed me to field a strong tank in this case. Having 5 more HP than my opponent's tank gave me an advantage and it was game over for my opponent right from the start.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Orella Abadon

Ouch! I couldn't believe I lost this. My Gladius card gained so many Bloodlust but its HP was too squishy and the Water lineup just swept my lineup off the board with a bit luck from the Scattershot ruleset. I should have won this and should have done better.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Kotriphus Bayne

For Melee fights, Astral Entity is the summoner to beat because of Dodge and Resurrect. There were so many misses on my team and that alone handed me the win easily. My opponent definitely fielded strong cards for this one, but Astral Entity pulling all the strings behind the scene proved to be too strong. Once again, my favourite summoner never disappoints.
