Splinterlands Battle Mage Challenge: Super Sneak
This week's Battle Mage rule set challenge was Super Sneak in which every melee monster gains the SNEAK ability, attacking back row monsters...
Super Sneak general strategy....
Personally I tend to nod towards a defensive strategy with this rule set, so self-heal, thorns or shields and repair at the back.
If I've got any super melee monsters I'll use them and at least THREE to concentrate the attack.
But most of the time I'll ignore this from an attack perspective, there's sometimes nothing to gain by focussing on it!
Super Sneak battle exemplar
The battle below shows a battle featuring the ever awesome Scared Llama Mage in a comprehensive victory!
Mana and rulesets:
- mana 15
- super sneak and melee only
Summoner Scared Llama Mage - plus two health, cleanse and last stand
- Fungus Fiend - 0 mana tank
- Cocatrice - FAST and FLYING, good for misses
- Flesh Golem - self heal, high health and three damage, with Last Stand in mind!
The battle...
- round 1 - I lose my Fungus Fiend, but that's OK!
- round 2 - I lose my Cocatrice, still OK - Last stand triggers on the Golem!
- rounds 3-5 - it takes the Golem another 3 rounds to take out my opponent's three monsters, but by round round 5 it is all over!
Final battle analysis
It was Last Stand wot won it - when it triggered during round 2 he had 17 health, took three attacks and healed back up to 17 at the end of the round... invincible here!
Super Sneak final thoughts...
Play some defence, otherwise you can just ignore it mostly!
