THE CHAOS: LEGIONS OF GREATNESS (DO NOT JUST SKIP THIS!)
Hello, Splinterlands Community !
Until today, Chaos Legion is the trend in the Splinterlands. Many players wants to get the airdrop cards and because of that, it will be our card feature of the week. So far, there are already 7 cards released in the airdrop and 4 of them will be featured for this week's content.
The three cards that caught my attention this week are: Lira the Dark, Iza the Fanged, and Grum Flamebalde. Normally, we give the fourth slot on the card that has the most potential to be the threat in the game when it level up, but for this week, it will be different. We will give the fourth slot to the latest airdrop card released and that is the Spirit Hoarder.
I can feel your excitement about this and with that, let us start the card feature.
THE CARDS
LIRA THE DARK is a Legendary Dark Monster with Opportunity and Snare ability. Monsters with Opportunity ability attacks monster with the lowest health in the battle. Monsters with Snare ability removes the flying ability of the enemy and it cannot miss attacks. Lira The Dark has 2 range attacks,6 speed, and 6 health. This monster has a very great role in the battle. Eliminating the monster with the lowest health means eliminating the strongest monsters in the battle. Mostly, monsters with lowest health has strongest damage among others. Also, this monster neglects flying so it will not be a problem for this card on creating attacks. In terms of its stats, this card has incredible speed that is enough to avoid powerful attacks and has an average health that is enough to endure attacks. The only downside of this card its low attacks and high mana cost. The low attacks is fixable, as it gains more attack as this card level up.
When this monster reach level 2, its range attack will be 3 range attacks and it will have card power of 1,500. In level 3, this monster gains another ability called Swiftness. Monsters with Swiftness ability gives speed to all friendly monsters in the field. That is helpful, especially to Dark Monsters because they have low speed. In level 4, this monsters gains another additional to its range attack, turning it to 4 range attacks. At that level, it has 5,775 collection power which is very useful on levelling up the rank.
IZA THE FANGED is a Legendary Earth Unit that has Sneak and Scavenger. Monsters with Sneak ability attacks first the back position monsters. Monsters with Scavenger ability gains an additional health everytime a monster dies in the battle. This card has 1 range attack, 4 speed, and 3 health. By looking at the overall characteristic of this card, we can say that this card has strong features. Elimination of back positioned monsters are helpful in the game since most of the players position the strongest monsters at the back. Also, having extra lives on the game is very useful because it will give the monster an opportunity to maximize its full potential. The only issue for this monster is its low range attack and average starting health. Iza The Fanged has only 1 range attacks, which is very weak against monsters with Shield ability. Also, range attackers has an issue of being in the first position. They cannot create attacks on that position. In terms of health, 3 health is just an average health because there are monsters that has 3 melee and range attacks, which can easily wipe out this card in the game. If ever you are going to use this card, try to use summoners or monsters that can increase melee attacks and the life of other monsters. With that, it can compensate the weakness of this card.
As this monster continue to level up, its ability and stats are also increasing. At level 2, this monster will gain an additional range attack, making it 2 range attacks. At level 3, this monster gains an additional ability called Stun. Monsters with Stun ability stuns its target monster, making that monster skips the next turn. This is very valuable ability, especially when it is applied to monster with the highest attack in the field. At its final level, the level 4, this monster gains an additional range attacks again, making its attack 3 range attacks.
GRUM FLAMEBLADE is a Legendary Fire Monster with Bloodlust and Void Armor ability. Monsters with Bloodlust ability gains additional stats everytime it defeats a monster in the field. In reverse speed ruleset, this monster receives deduction of 1 speed on every monster it defeats. Aside from that ability, this monsters has also Void Armor ability. Monsters with Void Armor ability hits the armor first of the monster with Void Armor ability. This monster has 4 melee attacks, 1 speed, 5 shields, and 10 health. Overall, we can say that this card is a force to be wreckoned with in the field. It has high damage and very impressive defensive ability. It can endure powerful attacks and create destructive attacks on the field. The only issue for this card is its low speed. By having 1 speed, it means it cannot avoid any attack and it has very high chance of missing an attack. I suggest that if ever you want to use this card, use as summoner that can elevate the speed of this monster. Also, this card needs 11 mana in order to be used. That is an issue because it only means that you cannot use this card on low mana battle.
As this card continue to level up, it gains another ability and increase in stats. At level 2, this card gains Void ability. Monsters with Void ability reduces the magic damage creates by the opponent. This is very helpful since magic attacks never miss. Also, at the same level, this monster gains additional 2 health, making its health by 12. At level 3, this monster gains another ability called Giant Killer. Monsters with Giant Killer ability does double damage to the monsters with 10 or more mana. This kind of ability is also useful in the game since the higher the mana needed of the monster, the more powerful they are. Also, in the same level, this monster will have now 14 health. At its final level, Level 4, this monster gains an additional attack and health, making its attack 5 melee attacks and 15 health.
Now that we are done on the first 3 cards, let us now discuss the latest released card on the airdrop of Chaos Legion Pack. And that is the SPIRIT HOARDER.
SPIRIT HORADER is a Legendary Neutral Unit with Triage ability. Monster with this kind of ability heals the back line monsters that has taken the most damage. This monster has 1 magic attack, 1 speed, and 3 health. Looking at the overall characteristics of this card, we can say that its ability is perfect against the Sneak ability and Opportunity ability. Since Sneak attacks first the back position monsters, definitely this card can heal them. On that way, this card is very helpful. Same in the Opportunity ability. Since most of the time, players position their strongest but low health monsters in the back position, healing the back line monster will be very helpful to counter the ability. The only issue on this card is its low magic attack and low speed. This only means that there is only minimal damage that this card can give. Also, its low speed only means that it cannot avoid any attack and that is very threatening because it only has 3 health. So if ever you want to use this card, I suggest to use monsters that can elevate its stats. It has strong ability but it will be put into waste if this card is not protected or supported properly.
At level 2 of this monster, it gains another ability called Dispel. Monsters with Dispel ability clears all the positive effect status effect on the monster it attacks. That is useful on the battle because most of the summoners increases the stats of the friendly monsters in the game. At level 3, this monster gains another ability called Blind. Monsters with this kind of ability increases the chance of missing of melee and range attacker monsters in the field. That is very useful in the game, especially for this card since it has very low health. That can elongate the time of this monster in the field. At the final level of this monster, Level 4, this monster gains an additional magic attack. That is a very great thing because magic attacks cannot be resist by shields; only by the use of ability. So if ever you are planning to use this card, use summoner that can increase the stats of this monster.
