Gold Foil Draws for Glint Shop

We would like to poll our community and see if you have a preference for how the Gold Foil draws will look. We are entertaining two options, either a single draw or 4 rarity draws. Which would you prefer?

We have 2 potential options:

1 Gold Foil Draw
This would be an individual draw where players have the chance to pull either common, rare, epic, or legendary gold foil cards. Legendary potions could be used to increase your chances of pulling Epics or Legendaries. Pricing TBD.

4 Gold Foil Rarity Draws
With this option, the rarity of Gold Foil draws would be guaranteed and no potions would be used. The proposed pricing is subject to change but would be around 1,000 GLINT for common, 5,000 GLINT for rare, 50,000 GLINT for epic, and 250,000 for legendary.

These prices are way too low based on rarity draw costs, GF odds, and potion costs. If you on average get a GF common every 1:25 cards + 25 potions (80 glint each), then a common GF draw should be at least 4500 glint or maybe even higher for convenience. All of these should be closer to 3x their current costs.

I don't care which whether its single draw or rarity draws, but I think 250k for a GFL is too cheap. I thought it would be between 500k and 750k. While this set won't be a huge issue, the next set will get massively overprinted at the 250k rate imo.

Why would you want GFLs to be easily accessible to anyone? That's not the point of GFLs in general..

I don't. I want them to be earnable by actual human players. Allowing bots in so early to boost the numbers ruined this being an actual viable P2E game. This is pretty much a whale's game now, so let them make the decisions.

Too cheap and over printed? There are 12 cards right now in champ wild I'd get 1 pull a season so 24 season isn't even enough to max out the set in a year assuming modern is pulling double it's just enough to max out the set if you assume you get just enough for each card no duplicates. I'm sure there are people that earn more or will burn cards but you looking at a few that could max out two set in a year how is that over printer?

Personally I think 250K is too much.

People are saying they are too cheap, just gonna say I wont even pay this amount, I rather get lucky...

However I do not think we should even offer GF or rarity draws.

I think if we offer rarity and/GF draws, we should NEVER unlock these cards.

Not to be contrarian on purpose but gf draws at all are a problem waiting to happen, period. Reasons to chase glint in a less efficient but adventurous daily grinds make the rarest cards that much more special. This imho is extremely close to selling glint direct. Attaining all cards needs to be a challenge for just about anyone.

IMO GFs are a sort of trophy. Rarity draws are important for normal cards to help fill out very specific gaps in peoples' decks which is necessary for competition.

But I don't think rarity draws should apply to GFs. Keep them random and keep them special.

While I agree in one respect, I also wonder if the reasoning behind this is to do with GF frays in the brawls. These frays are hard enough to fill as it is, then with some of the soulbounds being such big game changers you can be at a huge disadvantage without them and you can't even rent them. It's hard enough getting GF gladiators as it is.

I don't like either option, it shouldn't be easy to complete the cards, in fact there should be few cards for short periods of time and never printed anymore, there is a glut of cards in explinterlands, no one has noticed, that they age or die or the need to burn them in the gameplay is imperative, as well as releasing a few thousand consecrated yotubers, etc... if this is not over, how will you distribute your DEC, THEN???????😏

I think that gold cards should be a bonus. Not an expectation.

I don't think gold foil guarantees should be an option at all.

At the prices stated I foresee a massive rush AGAIN of accounts with the glint getting in first and then the prices having to be stepped back.

There should have been an option for "neither, I don't thinkm gold foils should be guaranted".

These should be priced higher. Like 2-3x. If I ever feel like GF is the right thing to buy, they are too cheap.

I'm voting for rarity draws at these prices. If people want to ruin the fun and make the prices much higher than this, I'd rather just get the single draw.

Thank you all for giving your feedback and letting us know how you would like GF draws to be. We appreciate the feedback. As a follow-up, Splinterlands won't be introducing GF draws with the current set of soulbound reward Cards, if we do them they would be for the Rebellion set.
We are also thinking about increasing the prices of the rarity draws for the Rebellion set.
