Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets - Stampede
source
Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog for this weeks entry into the solinterlands battle Mage secretes contest. For someone who might be hearing about this for the first time; it is happens every week where the spl team gives a Ruleset to players to make a blog post about.
This week the Ruleset is stampede
Trample will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.
Now, there are a lot of ways one can approach this battle. You can use cards that have the trample ability; which is in this case mostly melee cards or opt in for a summoner which has the stampede feature.
A summoner that is possiblus the wise, a water summoner.
With the stampede ability it means you will continue to attack as long as you are killing.
This is how I approached this battle.
I chose possiblus the wise because of one thing and one thing only, the trample ability. Possiblus the wise has other features like +2 health to all your cards and also the reach ability.
The cards I went for are xenith monk in the first position, legionnaire alvar as second card, magi of chaos, supply runner, Arkemis the bear, and then the disintegrator as my last card.
Let’s rumble.
I forgot to mention that because I am in the gold league I had two other rulesets which is the super sneak and shades of gray.
Since my opponent was gonna be using melee cards I opted for cards witu the demoralise ability as well. So all his strong melee cards had their melee reduced by 2 cause I had two demoralise cards.
Round one was a boring one as each card tried to make a presence in battle. None of the cards was killed in this round all though some cards were dealt reasonable damage.
At the start of round 2, I had my xenith monk killed to my suprise. Since it has the heal ability I thought it was going to be hard for it to be killed but u was wrong.
The next card that came to first position had 11 shield and boy I was happy cause my opponent had no magic card which will evade the shield.
With my magic card it was a pretty enjoyable battle on my side as I could evade any shield by my opponent. I was able to kill my opponents arkemis the bear in round 2.
In round 3 I was able to get to my hands on my opponents supply runner and successfully killing it. This meant I will be reducing his cards speed which also helped him evade most of my attacks.
Round 5 didn’t go as planned as I thought I was going to kill more of his cards but he had the better of me in this round but it seems I wasn’t over as I had a sucessful kill as well.
At the end I didn’t get to use the stampede in this battle but it was worth it. I did get the chance to perform trample a few times and that was all.
The stampede effect didn’t take effect in this battle but it was an epic match to watch.
