Vonak: The Rise Of Rebellion Legendary Rewards Pt.2

m.png

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

It was only a few hours remaining before this season ends and to start another season with more glint coming from our season end loot which we can use to buy another batch of cards from the Rarity Draws and Jackpot Chest. Speaking of cards, todays, post will be about the second part of my review for the Rebellion Legendary Soulbound rewards which will take a look on the legendary cards from Earth and Death Elements.

And also, before I start, let me also remind that there is also only a few hours remaining before the current modifier for the Cl soulbound reward increase so for those that plans to unlock their cards either to sold or rent it, better do it while the modifier is still does not increase.

Revealed By- @butops

The first card that we have was Blackmoor Jinx which is a card that was revealed by @butops also known as the real life Hill Giant. Blacckmorr Jinx was a 1-mana range card which at max level has a damage of 2 as well as a speed and health of 3. It also has the Snipe ability starting at level 1 which allows it to target the non melee opponent that is closest to the first position. As it was a 1- mana card, it can be used on Little League ruleset and since it has melee attack, having it on low mana battles with Keep your Distance and Going the Distance ruleset can make for an efficient lineup. Not only that, it can always act as a damage sponge or when you only have 1 mana left but still have an empty slots in your lineup, particularly on Odd Ones Out ruleset.

When it comes to summoners, it can benefit the most when used together with Risqruel Drath by giving it +1 range damage to increase its attack as well as to give it the Flying ability from it's global stats. Might as well use it to give Impede and True Strike during tactics phase to reduce the speed of the opponent and to make sure that its attack does not miss.

Revealed By- @bjangles

The next card, Warborn Chieftain, was a 7- mana melee unit that was shown to us by @bjangles which is one of the @sps.dao Treasurer and was also part of @thepeoplesguild podcast that recently runs the #tpgchallenge, a non- official Splinterlands contest with some really interesting topics to participate. You can check the most recent challenge Here if you want to participate.

Now, going back to Warborn Chieftain, it has the max damage of 4, a speed of 3 and a health of 8. When it comes to its abilities, It has Phase and Dispel at level 1 which allows it to evade magic attacks and remove the buffs of its target while at level 2, it gains Shield that reduces the damage it receives from melee and range attacks. As it reach level 3, it gains Demoralize which reduces the melee attack of all opponent unit as long as it remains in play and Stun at maxed level which gives 50% chance for the target to skip a turn. By being a 7-mana card makes it good for Odd Ones Out ruleset as well as during Up close and Personal ruleset, being it a melee card with Shield. IIt can also serves as a good support card during Heavy Hitters ruleset where all units gets the Knockout ability that doubles the damage on stunned units.

Being it a melee unit, using it with Underboss Fabino will allow it to gain +2 melee attack when used during the tactics phase but it may be more suited as an anti- magic tank when given the Void ability by Immortalis or an anti- melee tank with Thorns from Eternal Tofu during Odd Ones Out ruleset.

Revealed By@bronzedragon

Moving on, we have another 1-mana card but this time on the death element. It's name was Grifzi which is shown to us by @bronzedragon on his Youtube channel. I also find his video about Splinterlands as a good introduction to the game. Now for Grifzi, it has the same card stats as the previous 1-mana card, only this time is that it has the Sneak ability which allows it to target backline units. Because of that, it also does not change much which ruleset could it perform the best.

As for the summoner, using it along with Lorkus will give it +1 melee damage but it will also be interesting to use it along with Waka Spiritblade on low mana and Little League rulesets where it has 50% chance to afflict the backline of the opponent with Poison.

For some battle, here is one where I used Grifzi which was really helpful despite only being level 1, targeting the backline monsters of my opponent.

For the last card, we have Death Ranger that was first shown to us by @infidel1258 which is also a great Youtube creator. When it comes to Death Ranger, this is a 4-mana range unit with a max of 2 damage, 3 speed, 4 health and 7 armor which can make for a beefy tank given that it also has Void Armor that prevents magic attacks to damage its health directly. It also has Close Range at level 2 which allows it to attack at the second position and Scavenger that increases its max health for every monster that was defeated. As this was a 4 mana card, it will be always useable on Little League ruleset as well as during Keep Your Distance and Going the Distance ruleset.

Now, here is one of my recent battle with Death Ranger that despite only being at level 1 was still able to perform as a decent tank to be the target due to the Target Practice ruleset.

Final Thoughts

I'm almost done on my Rebellion reward cards review with Life, Neutral and Dragon Elements remaining and will most likely be all wrapped up with my following post next week. Overall, it was a fun ride and I hope that any readers that will come up with this post will find it educational once they use this monsters in the game.

Once again I would like to express my gratitude to everyone in the community that helps in sharing the information about the cards.

Thank you and see you at the next post.
