crypto question
Hi Guys,
So im new to the world of crypto and iv recently opened a coinbase account and started to use the Brave browser.
I have just received my first brave rewards of 4.75 BAT =(£2.38) which went into a Gemini wallet linked to Brave.I have never tried a transfer before so i sent my tokens to my coinbase account.I know of but im not familiar with Gas fees so i expected there to be a charge fee on the confirmation screen but there was nothing about fees so i pressed send.
They went into the account no problem and iv got 4.75 BAT (£2.38) in coinbase now.
I went into the transaction log on coinbase to see the details and it said there was a transfer fee of $8. heres a paste of the log, iv shortened the address. :
Tokens Transferred:
From Gemini 4To 0x8746d8e832a6a For 4.75 ($3.11)BAT (BAT)
Value:
0 Ether ($0.00)
Transaction Fee:
0.003110891341315802 Ether ($7.99)
my question is, if i got the full amount of BAT and my balance has had no charges added to it,its the same plus the £2.38 , who paid the fee?
Im sure your thinking this is a dumb question but im just trying to learn how to get started.
Thanks for any replies.
