Reference card - MAGI NECROSI

Greetings my dear readers, for this week I bring you a digital drawing inspired by the Magi Necrosi card.

For me is very important the creative side, so I didn't want to make just a copy, so I decided to make a couple of changes without altering the essence of the character.

One of the most noticeable changes is that in my version we can appreciate the face of the character and his disturbing look.

I am very happy with the result, because it has very subtle references that I will explain as we move forward in the drawing.

Saludos mis estimados lectores!, para esta semana les traigo un dibujo digital inspirado en la carta Magi Necrosi.

Para mí es muy importante el lado creativo, por lo cual no quise hacer solo una copia, así que decidí hacerle un par de cambios sin alterar la esencia del personaje.

Uno de los cambios más notorios es que en mi versión podemos apreciar el rostro del personaje y su mirada inquietante.

Estoy muy feliz con el resultado, pues tiene referencias muy sutiles que les iré explicando a medida que avanzamos en el dibujo.

First steps

From the beginning I wanted to make a drawing that would serve as a wallpaper for my computer, so I decided to give more weight to the drawing on the right side and to use predominantly dark tones.

Desde un principio quise hacer un dibujo que me sirviera como wallpaper para mi computador, por eso decidí darle más peso al dibujo del lado derecho y usar tonos dominantemente oscuros.

The sketch was made in two layers, one for the body and the other for certain parts of the clothing, to make sure I kept certain proportions.

El boceto fue elaborado en dos capas, una para el cuerpo y la otra para ciertas partes de la ropa, con esto me aseguro de mantener ciertas proporciones.

A small explanation of what happens with his head, The posture of the head is low, so in the sketch it seems that he has a lot of forehead. I don't know if I am clear with my explanation, that's why I leave you a small drawing where the direction of his head is shown.

Una pequeña explicación de lo que pasa con su cabeza, La postura de la misma es baja, por eso en el boceto pareciera que tiene mucha frente.
No sé si soy claro con mi explicación, por eso les dejo un pequeño dibujo donde se muestra la dirección de su cabeza.

We can see how the sketches look separately.
A creative detail is a small scar on the eyebrow, I think it looks great and gives it a tougher touch.

Podemos apreciar como se ven los bocetos por separados.
Un detalle creativo es una pequeña cicatriz en la ceja, creo que se ve genial y le da un toque más rudo.

We continue with the lineart, adding small details to give more life to the whole work, it is a job that takes some time but the final result is worth it.

Continuamos con el lineart, voy agregando pequeños detalles para darle más vida a toda la obra, es un trabajo que lleva algo de tiempo pero el resultado final lo vale.

Color, shades and details

Use colors similar to the reference chart, you may notice that I adjust it several times at this stage of the drawing.

Use colores similares al de la carta de referencia, tal vez puedan notar que lo ajuste varias veces en esta etapa del dibujo.

Basically the process I go through to create each color layer is to draw the entire outline first, something that can take time, I know there are other techniques, but this is the one I use most often.

Básicamente el proceso que llevo para crear cada capa de color es dibujar todo el contorno primero, algo que puede llevar tiempo, sé que existen otras técnicas, pero esta es la que uso con más frecuencia

After that with the bucket tool we fill and that's it! is repeated in all layers

¡Luego de eso con la herramienta cubeta llenamos y listo! se repite en todas las capas

We continue... for the shadows I applied the strongest color and then with the blending tool we give details, however this is the first layer of shadow. The process is repeated several times, I will leave you several images of how it was in each layer, I invite you to see them all.

Seguimos... para las sombras apliqué el color más fuerte y luego con la herramienta difuminar damos detalles, aun así esta es la primera capa de sombra.
El proceso se repite varias veces, te dejaré varias imágenes de como fue en cada capa, te invito a verlas todas

Here I must say that each layer has a different texture, I also added many touches to the shadows, in fact at every opportunity I added more and more details.

Aquí debo decir que cada capa tiene una textura diferente, también agregue muchos retoques a las sombras, de hecho en cada oportunidad añadía más y más detalles

In a different layer with the illumination effect he added the power in his hands, to tell the truth there were several layers, two for the power of the hands and an extra one for the brightness in the clothes.

En una capa diferente con el efecto iluminación agrego el poder en sus manos, a decir verdad fueron varias capas, dos para el poder de las manos y una extra para el brillo en la ropa

Well I know you waited for this part, this character alludes to me as I pose several times in front of the mirror until I get an idea, to the green goblin from spiderman - no way home, and the background refers to doctor strange "the mirror dimension".

Bien sé que esperaron esta parte, este personaje hace alusión a mí pues pose varias veces frente al espejo hasta tener una idea, al duende verde de spiderman - sin camino a casa, y el fondo hace referencia al doctor strange "la dimensión espejo"
