Introduction

My Sunday was awesome. I watched "How to make millions before grandma dies". It was a super good movie and I will probably write a movie review on it. Anyways, I will be sharing my battle mage secrets today. The theme for this week is Little League. For this ruleset, both summoners and units with only 4 mana or lower can be used. I will go over my tips and use a battle as an example.

My Strategy & Tips for Little League

There are a few different strategies for little league I like to use. The first one is a sneak line up with water, life or dragon with water or life. So for water, I would use something like Kelya with cruel sethropod infront with uraeus and pelacor bandit in the back. For life, it would be pelacor conjuerer infront with stitch leech, uraeus and celestial harphy in the back.

There are certain situations where obsidian is good too with full magic but I don't find it too be to strong because of Xentih monk and pelacor conjurer in the little league meta. I also like a strategy that focuses on the frontline with water using ranged units. This will be the battle I'm sharing today.

The Battle

The battle link can be found here. I had this battle on my scholar account for modern diamond league. I actually had this battle a bit before writing this post. It's a 49 mana cap battle with earth and dragon element banned. The rulesets are up to eleven, heavy hitters and little league.

Discussing My Lineup

Summoner , Kelya - As mentioned in the tips, Kelya is pretty much the go to for little league at the moment in modern league since there's no mylor.

First Position, Cruel Sethropod - Cruel Sethropod is a great frontliner. It has great armor and health stats which is the main reason to play it.

Second Position, Tide Bider - I chose Tider Bider in the second spot with reach. It's probably the best 2nd position unit in little league for water. It's a solid stape with the true aim and reflection shield with great speed and damage.

Third Position, River Nymph - This card was used for the swiftness. I wanted to ensure my team went first so I used this.

Fourth Position, Angelic Mandarin - Angelic Mandarin was mainly used for the silence. I love using this card in little league to fend off the magic spammers.

Fifth Position, Merdhampir - Merdhampir was my ranged DPS. I like it for it's leech because after a few rounds it gets decent extra health to tank for my finisher.

Last Position, Kulu Swimhunter - Kulu Swimhunter is probably the best 4 mana ranged in water in modern right now. I used this as my last unit for DPS.

Analysis of The Battle

My opponent had a similar team as me but I feel my lineup is better. He tried to abuse Dr Blight which is kind of useless with river nymph. I think that made him lose the match. In addition to that, his frontline tank couldn't tank as many hits since it had less shield and I didn't really use any magic. Xenith monk is only good against magic units so if there's more range and melee then it's pretty bad. My cruel sethropod was able to tank a lot of hits before it went out with the armor.
