Hitting the 2 year Milestone Soon
Less than 22 minutes to blog before we claim our daily focus. September will be our 2 year milestone in 2023. Being an NFT gamer seems to have been downhill emotionally most of the time. Prices keep falling in a bear market. Not financial advice by the way.
Crypto is here to stay and the Australian government (ATO) has even notified me that I have crypto transactions that need to be accounted for. I've yet to make any real profits or what the ATO would put it in as Capital Gains Tax. The exchange I use in Australia is Coinspot and with a few clicks could calculate my Capital Gains or Loss from another website for free.
Playing Splinterlands as a game is purely for entertainment purposes right now because it feels like we're just throwing our money away. Yet to make a profit and changes keep happening in the game to make it tougher to win. Do we actually have a surge of new players coming in or is the community being bombarded by more rules because crypto as a whole is losing confidence?
Almost 2 years and hitting my head on the wall isn't going to solve anything. Hopefully good news to come soon as the new financial year comes next month. To buy or not to buy energy with DEC is the question now. Also, spending DEC to rent cards to play with feels like I'm being squeezed out of my pockets even more.
In other news, my new guild [Sherwin] has been upgraded to Tier 2 Brawls. Currently need to replace alts for 3 frays:
- Alpha / Beta in Bronze League
- Gold Foils in Silver League
- Wild in Gold League
Mostly bots keep joining in and removed later on for not communicating. Such is the life of the digital world. Good luck to anyone else who joins in the fun of what is called Splinterlands!
