A Mix of Gladiators and Dragons! HELIOS MATRIARCH in battle

(Edited)

In this week the "Share Your Battle challenge" features the Dragon splinter! In general im only using the dragon summoner "QUIX". Today i tried an other one. "HELIOS MATRIARCH" is one of the new soulbound reward cards. It gives you monsters +1 Speed and you can play a gladiator Card.

Between Gladiators and Dragons:

At the moment i have just thle lvl 1 Helios Matriarch but its already a nice Card! You have to opportunity to use the Bloodlust spell of you gladiator Cards in the normal fights!

image.png

The reason for that is the new skill CONSCRIPT, that allows you to use gladiator cards in normal battles!

Here are the Summoners that have this skill:

When do i use this Summoner?

The best ruleset for this combo is a low mana ruleset. In general the enemy is playing some weak cards. Your gladiator card kann kill them easy and gain more power!

This way you get more mele damage, health, speed and armor.

This was the Ruleset in my battle:

This battle was just with 20 mana cap. The furry and no range ruleset were not important for my choice.

My Summoner:

As i told before, i was using the HELIOS MATRIARCH. Its an rare lvl 1 Summoner. Because of that i could just play lvl 1 monsters. If i get more copies of this summoner this build will be even better !

My Lineup:

Because its a low mana battle i used some weak monsters for the frontline and saves some mana. All 3 monster did just cost 2 mana. Their only job was it to take some hits and give time to the gladiator card to feed up :)

In the backline i set 2 sneak monsters. This was a really random choice, to do some more damage. You can also chose other cards here. Anyway you should use an monster with minimum 1 armor in the last place to revive more hits. In the second last place you put the gladiator card. This is a save spot where this monster got time to feed up and carry you at the end :D

Step 1 of the Fight

The gladiator card had more speed than the other monsters. So it attacked first and killed the weakest enemy. This gave him bonus stats because of bloddlust.

Step 2 of the Fight

A bit unlucky that my sneak attack monsters got the kill. But anyway the enemy monsters got all killed instead of harklaw. Because of the shield ability just the gladiator card can do damage to him.

Step 3 of the Fight

At the end it was a 1vs1 fight. But our gladiator card was not damaged by enemy monsters because of a good positioning. That was the reason that ion won the fight :)

Conclusion

My strategy for this battle worked out perfectly. The weak frontline monsters took the damage at the beginning of the fight. My backline protected my gladiator card from damage andmy gladiator monster got feed up a bit. At the end the gladiator card was the last survivor (as planed) and won the fight against Harklaw.

I will play this card now more often and i hope to get some more copies of it. This summoner got a lot of potential!

What do you think about this summoner ? :D

If you do not have a Splinterlands account until now you should defently do one
