Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Winning a stronger opponent
Hello all #Splinterlands friends,
What makes you keep playing Splinterlands? Is it because you can #earn from it?
For me, it's a joy to beat a stronger opponent with the correct strategy.
And I would like to share with you my battle with a stronger opponent.
The battle ruleset
- 29 mana cap - a low mana cap battle
- Ruleset - Weak Magic and Melee Mayhem
- Splinter - Fire, Water, and Earth Splinter can be used in this battle
My team lineup
With these rulesets, I decided to use Water Splinter which I have some good melee monsters with high speed.
Summoner | Kelya Frendul - to have +1 speed and +1 armor to all my monsters. Faster means more advantage. | |
---|---|---|
1st position | Halfling Refugee - this is one of my favorite Epic reward card. It costs only 1 mana but has 2 melee attacks and 6HP at level 1. So useful in many battles | |
2nd position | Noa the Just - I chose him because of his Rust ability, which reduces 2 armors from all enemy monsters | |
3rd position | Kulu Mastermind - good melee monster with Weapon Training ability. He will give 3 melee attacks to Noa the Just and Merdaali Guardian | |
4th position | Merdaali Guardian - can heal the tanker in the battle | |
5th position | River Hellondale - can revive the 1st died monster and give 1 additional melee attack to all melee monsters | |
6th position | Torrent Fiend - a 0 mana monster and protect the backline monsters from attacks |

My opponent also chose Water Splinter with level 7 Kelya Frendul as the summoner. All of the monsters almost reach max level. When I saw this team lineup, I was not confident about winning this battle.
However, my team did well because it could utilize the best of Melee Mayhem ruleset.
That's all for now.
I hope you enjoy this battle and have a nice weekend!
