Angel of Light - Water Color Inspired Art

What's up Splinterlands Community! Is everyone craving for a legendary card? How about a fan art that is based on watercolor techniques? I've decided to make a fan art which is more realistic and delicately produced. The value of this card is expensive like how beautiful my fan art is. I'm just really proud of my improvement. Thank you @splinterlands for letting us learn and appreciate art. This opportunity really captured my heart sincerely. The art is inspired by a legendary card from beta edition. It is "Angel of Light".

The Card Used as Inspiration and Reference

Lore

The Angel of Light protects and guides her Khymian children. The Angel is the only person in the Splinterlands that can resurrect the dead. Many worship the Angel of Light as a Goddess, even though this is forbidden by the Silver Shield.

The Process

A. The Sketch

The very first part of this art is making an outline. This is also called a sketch. I just make sure to start in a simple drawing of a woman body. Then proceeded to a complex step by adding the costume and the wings of an angel. The pen used is sharp and faded.

B. Application of color to the body and hair

In this part, I just did a rough color using a watercolor pen. Same application to the hair. I am playing with the colors from its ranges

C. Blending of colors for the body and hair

Inorder to achieve a smooth texture of the art. I just blend the color with the watercolor pen. To apply the realistic result I need to lower and add the opacity of each color used. It has an effective manipulation by doing some adjustments.

D. Enhancing the character

To enhance the character I immediately color the costume and the wings. For the costume I just need to emphasize the shades and the highlights. The color should define a true and perceivable figure. The dimension has been applied. The wings are simply colored with flat hue. Then I've delicately design the wings by using a sharp faded pen. The outlook was awesome. It has a glimmering and astounding result.

E. Creating the background

The background is designed through airbrush by coloring the canvas with a single color. Then adding a grey to the second layer and white as the inner last layer. Using an eraser I've lowered its opacity and erase each side of the canvas in a circular motion. It has a magic effect on the created background.

F. Finalizing the art

The last part is adding a strike of light effect to show a more artistic kind or art. It was made by an eraser with a low opacity. Erasing the background from the outer part to the inner part. The main character is not affected by the eraser because I have a separate layer for the background. To end the art I just stamped my unique signature on the lower left corner of a 1536W × 2048H canvas.
