Quora Towershead Dominates
Let's talk about one of the most popular Gladius cards right now. Whenever I play guild brawls and have Earth as an option, Quora Towershead is an autopick for me. For better or for worse, I get excited whenever I place her in my lineup.
Quora is a powerhouse even when she is at level one. For 10 mana cost, she has a very high health and two attack types, melee and magic. The only drawback to her card stats is her speed.
Given that all Gladius cards have bloodlust as the default ability, her self-healing skill makes her a formidable monster. Activating the bloodlust once or twice is sometimes enough to gain a wide advantage over the enemy. She is also versatile as you can initially put her in the backline. This way, she will dish out magic attacks and come to the frontline later in the match when the enemy lineup is hopefully severely damaged or she has already racked up some bloodlust boosts.
Due to their similarities, especially in mana cost, Quora can be compared to Kron the Undying. Quora is a strictly better version of Kron in almost every aspect with the downside that Quora can only be used in guild brawl matches.
For summoners, if the mana limit allows it, Scarred Llama Mage is my best pairing for Quora Towershead. When last stand activates, Quora becomes an unstoppable beast that can quickly dispatch enemy monsters. I also pick Obisidian when I enter chaos legion-riftwatchers only brawls. An additional magic damage goes a long way in quickly killing enemies and activating bloodlust.
For this guild brawl, the enemy has chosen to cover two enemy attack types by using Mylor Crowling for melee and Unicorn Mustang for magic users. I on the other hand, went with Scarred Llama with Kron and Quora as the only two monsters. Since I value Quora more as an ace card, I used Kron as the main tank.
Luckily, three of my opponent's monsters have sneak and opportunity. This distributed the attacks to both Quora and Kron instead of focusing on a single target. They both survived the first round.
Quora finally delivers the killing blow on Unicorn Mustang activating her first bloodlust buff. The health buff from Scarred Llama and their healing abilities helped my monsters withstand the enemies' attacks.
And with Unicorn Mustang out of the way, the remaining five enemy monsters were easy picking for Kron and Quora. Quora even achieved three bloodlust activations giving her five magic and five melee damage, six speed, and sixteen health.
With the strength of Quora Towershead becoming more apparent to guild brawl players, we may see her being used more frequently. The only downfall to this is that it is very hard to upgrade her as she is only obtainable through Gladius packs which are purchased only through merit points.
I typically only get one Gladius pack every week or two if I play both in modern and guild brawls. And for the past few months, I have only gotten one Quora in my collection. At this rate, it might take me a couple of years before I can max out a copy. But nonetheless, even at a single BCX, Quora Towershead dominates!
