Summoner Lab 2.0 release notes
Never heard of Summoner Lab?
Summoner Lab (summonerlab.com) is a data analysis website for Splinterlands.
Whether you are an investor or an hardcore gamer we have something for you.
Investors can have access to historical card prices and charts, precise market data and instant deals, if you are into card flipping.
Gamers can find card win rates, team synergy analysis and ruleset data that they can use to get an edge on everyone else in their league.
The main focus of Summoner Lab is to empower users to make rational decisions based on real data, both in the market and in battle.
Release notes
The goal of this release is not to bring new features (even if there are a few), but to modernize both the UI and the technology, while fixing most of the issues the previous version had.
The website now shows 4 main sections: Invest, Gameplay, Community and Others.
Invest
You guessed it, it's the section where all the tools for investors are grouped. Let's go through them one by one.
Charts
The page has been redesigned from the ground up to make information more accessible to everyone. You can now choose "Simple" mode, that will display the average historical price in a clear way, or you can use "Advanced" mode, which will show a TradingView candlestick chart with volume at the bottom.
Both Splinterlands cards and Splinterlands assets (from Hive Engine) can be displayed.
Remember: all market data across the website refers only to 1BCX cards!
Explore
Have you ever wished there was a Coin Gecko for Splinterlands cards? Well, now there is.
You can sort and filter the market as you please and find the market strategy that's best for you.
Deals
Do you like the thrill of fighting with bots to get the absolute best deal? We've got you covered with this new and improved Deals page.
As usual simply open the page, set your filters, turn on notifications and wait for the bell to ring. When you find something interesting just click on in for a quick purchase or rent.
If you're not familiar with the deals page, all you need to know is that it scans the market for cards listed at prices lower than the current one. It might take a few seconds for something to show up, you just need to patient and wait for someone to sell a card at a discount.
Gameplay
Let's now switch to the gamer focused tools.
Battles
The old "Cards" page is now "Battles". Explore win rates and team composition synergies. Everything is filterable by league, so you can tailor your strategies to your specific level.
On the left you can see the number of battles analyze and on the right there's the win rate. All the data is relative to the past 30 days, so that it also takes into account the current meta.
IMPORTANT: League filters are used as an approximation of the card's level: if you filter by Diamond league, the data shown is mostly about max level cards. This also means that if there is a battle in Diamond league in which only level 1 cards are used, Summoner Lab will record it as a Novice league fight, because effectively that's the level at which the battle was fought.
Also notice that at the time of writing modern and wild battles are not separated. The modern/wild filter only allows you choose the card, not the battle mode.
Rulesets
A completely new feature that allows you to see which cards are winning the most in which ruleset.
The cards displayed are the ones that have the chosen ruleset as one of their best rulesets in the battles page. Even with this limitation, the data should be a pretty good approximation of the current meta.
Community
The community page has also been redesigned. If you feature Summoner Lab in your content use the discord channel to submit it for display here! We are always happy to work with new content creators and we might even gift you a pro subscription.
Others
Airdrop
Just the plain old airdrop page, you can use it to calculate how many airdrop cards you should get. Just enter the amount of packs you own and the number of packs required to get a guaranteed airdrop.
About data
A new section that explains in depth what data is being displayed and why.
Pricing
Summoner lab comes free for all. Pro and Gold users have access to additional tools and metrics, for example Gold subscriptions give access to all historical price data since 2020.
Quality of life
