Good afternoon, I'm going to start a series of posts to talk about those legendary rock groups that marked a before and after and today I want to start with the legendary Led Zeppelin.

1968: Formation of the band

  • The band consists of Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass/keyboards), John Bonham (drums)
  • It all started when maestro Jimmy Page broke up his old band called "The Yardbirds" but soon after he wanted to put together another one that was originally going to be called "The New Yardbirds" (he didn't give it much thought hahahahaha). But soon after they adopted the name Led Zeppelin.

1969: The meteoric rise

  • January 1969: Release of "Led Zeppelin I" the songs "Good Times Bad Times" and "Dazed and Confused" were recorded in less than two days (they did not even sleep)

  • October 1969: Released "Led Zeppelin II", they had their first baby named Luz "Whole Lotta Love"

1970: its consolidation

  • October 1970: Publication of "Led Zeppelin III" with influences of folk and acoustic sounds, their second and third children are born, called "Immigrant Song" and "Since I've Been Loving You" and "Immigrant Song" is incorporated into the soundtrack of Thor Ragnarok

1971: Creativity is born

  • November 1971: The release of "Led Zeppelin IV" but some people like me know it as the untitled album where his fifth child was born, called to be one of the best songs in the history of rock "Stairway to Heaven"

1973-1975: Rise of fame and massive tours

  • Between March 1973 and January 1975 they released "Houses of the Holy" "The Song Remains the Same" "No Quarter" with various elements such as reggae and funk. But soon after a work of art was born "Kashmir" from the album "Physical Graffiti"

1976-1979: Hard times

  • 1976: The group launched into the big screen with the name "The Song Remains the Same" and with the album with the same name, but in 1979 it would be the last studio album with the name "In Through the Out Door"

As everything has a beginning, everything has an end.

  • The first event that occurred was the death of drummer John Bonham and the dissolution of the group as the other members of the group did not want to play without him, this happened in 1980

Although they officially broke up in 1980, Led Zeppelin has had several reunions. The most notable was in 2007, when the surviving members, along with Bonham's son, Jason, gave a concert at the O2 Arena in London. Legacy: Led Zeppelin remains one of the most influential bands in the history of rock. They have sold more than 300 million records worldwide, and their music has left an indelible mark on the development of genres such as hard rock and heavy metal.

For me this band would never die because people like me make sure it is not forgotten and this post that I made today is my contribution to ensure that the band "Led Zeppelin" never falls into oblivion.
