Another band that left a mark on the music industry and that we still remember today. I'm talking about the group The Doors that was created in 1965 in Los Angeles and this group was created by chance since Morrison and Manzarek were old companions.

So we started

The Doors (1967)

  • The group started off on the right foot, as when they released their first album it was a direct success. Songs like "Light My Fire" which reached number 1 on Billboard in less than two weeks, "The End" with a duration of 11 minutes and "Break on Through" helped make that happen. And to this we add that the United States was in the middle of the Vietnam War.

(1967–1969) Evolution

  • "Strange Days" in 1967, was the second album but dark and surreal songs "People Are Strange" and "Love Me Two Times" took their style of sound where no other group had ever done before, so for me they are an incredible group.

  • "Waiting for the Sun" (1968) and another album made by the gods themselves, success as soon as it was released "Hello, I Love You", but the song "The Unknown Soldier" was politically critical of the Vietnam War, and they began to have problems in concerts since some states did not allow them to do them.

(1969–1971) Change

  • "The Soft Parade" (1969) began to change their style and released "Touch Me" which is more commercial and that is due to pressure from the record company.

  • "Morrison Hotel" (1970) with this album they releveled themselves and returned to their origins "Roadhouse Blues" and "Peace Frog" made this album the best of all

Death of Jim Morrison and the Legacy

On July 3, 1971, Jim Morrison died in Paris at the age of 27, leaving the story of The Doors unfinished. Without their charismatic leader. The Doors became a fundamental band in the evolution of psychedelic rock and its ability to mix the poetic with the musical. Their influence extends to alternative rock, punk and even electronic music bands. Morrison's introspective and dark lyrics, as well as his enigmatic personality, have inspired artists such as Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, and Pearl Jam, among many others.

Throughout their brief but intense career, The Doors created a discography that still resonates and connects with new generations, and they are seen as one of the most original and revolutionary bands of all time.

Well, gentlemen, I hope you like this post, so tomorrow there will be more and better ones.
