Battle Mage Secrets : New Found Skill

Hello everyone, another for testing our battle skills , and for this weeks challenge is one of my favorite rules that gives power to melee units to attack from the second position. As we all know there are a lot of melee heroes that became useless in normal game condition, but this rule is one of those that gives highlight to melee unit that has a lot of potential aside from being a monster in the first position.


Battle Conditions

Aside from the rule Maneuvers , this conditions are also available.

  • Back to Basics - All monsters will lose all abilities.
  • Broken Arows - all ranged units will be banned from battle including double damage units that have a range in them.
  • Manan - 54 Mana is given, a lot of space for high mana damage units.
  • Elements - Water, death and earth is only available, my favorite element is not banned.

Line Up Selection

Since my favorite line up is available , my line up I chose is from the water element.
And with all the conditions I decided to go with units that have a high health since I'm expecting a mage opponents and shield will not do me any good.

  • Diemonshark - one of my favorite tanks, with a high health and shield it will be able to absorb some damage from the enemy tank and second unit since reach ability is given, I'm expecting a melee second position unit.
  • Arkhemis the Bear - with the reach ability, I Placed him in the second position. Also with his high health it will be able to take a lot of rounds.
  • Oshannus - given that only mages and melee units are usable, he is a priority to have, with the damage and again a high health allow those in the backlines to deal more damage.
  • Nerissa Tridawn - the highest magic damage in my line up , with all the high health units before her she should do enough damage.
  • Magi of Chaos - a low low health unit but with the conditions her damage is a big help.
  • Riverboat Captain - same with Magi this unit are high damage but low health, placing them in the last position allows them to maximize their damage.

Battle Highlights

When the enemy lineup was revealed I know the shield of Diemonshark will be useless since Immortalis gave all unit the ability shatter. Good thing I have a speed advantage ,that's why the enemy tank was the first to fall. Also my magic damage was reduced due to the void ability given by the enemy summoner.

In the second round the second tank of the enemy fell, my advantage in this is all my units are able to hit and the enemy may have a lot of high HP units but they are all melee and they need to at least get to the second position to be able to attack.

In the third round all my melee units are gone, but the good news is have a one unit advantage more and Tridawn is still available to act as tank when Oshannus fell.

In the 6th round it was a battle of the mages, the void is making my job harder but thanks to the high health of Tridawn my units were able do deal enough damage to take down the enemies.

The battle ended in the 7th round, with Magi and Riverboat still standing. The proper placement of heroes were the key to this victory, had the enemy used more units that can attack from far I could have lost. Now I will take into consideration this things that I learned from this battle in the next fights.
