Splinterlands Social Media Challenge : The Shield Breakers

Hello Splinterland Friends another week for us to share some insights and strategies about the game. The game has become heavily reliant on shields, a lot of heavily shielded units now can shield all attacks, be it magic, melee or range attacks all because of the void armor ability . So now I will be sharing some tips on how to make things easier when encountering this kind of units in battle.

Here are some units with the void armor, if paired with units with repair this can can be hard to penetrate. Also some players take advantage of this ability by also picking units with resurrect since the full armor will be given once a unit will be resurrected.

So now let's get to the abilities that can help or counter this and make the battle a little bit easier. Let's start with the Rust ability. I used this multiple time already since a neutral unit with rust ability is available making it easier to layer their skills as long as the battle is favorable in those kind of battles.

Rust ability removes two armor from all enemies, and this can be stacked so you can use multiple units with rust ability to removes as much armor as possible.

Here are some units with the rust ability, as you can see with at least two neutral units have this ability and most elements have multiple rust equipped units is available making it really possible to stack the ability.

Another ability to consider as a good counter for the void armor is the ability SHATTER.

Also a very powerful ability against heavy armored units, just one hit from units with this ability and their whole armor is gone. What I like with units with this ability is that they have a decent speed allowing them to strike first to break the armor to be followed by heavy hitters.

Here are some of those units with this ability that I currently have in my deck, my favorite of this units is Musa SAline and the War Pegasus because they have a good speed allowing them to strike first before the others. And if paired with a pure frontal attack this skill can be fully utilized.

I know there are a lot of ways to counter the Void Armor, but this is the easiest and most obvious way that I know of. I hope this can help in your next battles.
