What a coincidence! I just have been looking into this! I got a vote of 0,018 USD which is not bad at all. Very happy with that. What I don't recall is how often I get such a vote. (every how many days/posts)?... !WEED !wine

Every HSBI unit holder must have a vote balance of at least $0.063 to receive a vote of at least $0.021. 🤓 The vote balance increases based on the user's HSBI units every 2.4 hours as well as the total that can be added to all HSBI users without draining the voting mana of the HSBI curation bots. 😎 !LOLZ

More information on https://docs.hivesbi.com/overview/how-does-it-work (which isn't long). 😏 !PIZZA

Interesting. Do you have any idea how long it takes for every 10 HSBI units to get to these 0,063 that generates an upvote? I mean with 10 HSBI it takes 4 days, with 20 HSBI 2 days, wiht 40 HSBI 1 day,... something like that? !BEER

It's difficult for me to determine because I don't monitor HSBI vote balances (since I don't have any post yet that it can upvote yet anyway). 🤯 We can only wait for the HSBI founder's statement about that. 😅 !wine

Maybe the HSBI bot should allow users to opt in for comment curation. 🤓 !WEED

In that case we could get more HSBI indeed !wine

In that case, we might end up sponsoring each other for HSBI instead. 😅 !wine

You can sponsor only exactly 1 other Hive account at a time for HSBI. 🤓 If you want to sponsor more people (where there is no limit to how many Hive users you may sponsor in total), you must do it separately for each Hive account. 😏 !WEED

Automated comment curation ends up being much more problematic than automated post curation. We have some ideas to resolve this (using signal accounts that curate comments manually and following their votes) but doing it effectively requires completion of several projects.

I think that one of the ways to implement comment curation properly by the HSBI bot is to have certain restrictions, such as only one comment curated per Hive account per day, vote not worth more than a defined value (such as $0.03), and a minimum character length (such as 250 characters). 🤔🤓

Based on current estimates by the HSBI founder, it will take roughly 10 days to get a $0.021 upvote if you have 10 HSBI units. 🤓 It is inversely proportional, meaning if you have 100 HSBI units, you will just need roughly 1 day to get a $0.021 upvote on your next post. 😏 !WEED

That means that it takes still quite a long time to fill up with my 26 Units I currently have got !PGM !CTP !HUG

26 HSBI units will require roughly 4 days before you receive your next $0.021 (or higher) vote from the HSBI bot. 🤓 !CTP !HUG

2cts is better than nothing and getting it every 4 days, means cts per month only with these tips... Meaning I get only 7 cents right? And these 7 cts are going to be divided between HBD and Hive.... Just to check if I got this right...?... !PGM !CTP !HUG

That's accurate at current HIVE prices. 🤔 If the price of HIVE doubles, you will get $0.021 worth of HSBI votes roughly every 2 days. 😏 !WEED !PGM

If you have 1,000 HSBI units, you can get votes from the HSBI bots that are at least $0.021 roughly 8 times a day. 🤓 !PGM !CTP

Though I'm not sure why you would want to. That's too rapid a rate to churn out quality content, for most people.

I just meant that it is technically possible. 🤔 I should change the rate to a $0.168 once a day or $0.084 twice a day from roughly 1,000 HSBI (at current HIVE prices). 😅 !PIZZA

Would that make roughly 2 times a day with 250 units? That would make an upvote for each of my posts... What happens if 've got 500 HSBI units but only 2 posts per day? (So no more posts can be upvoted)? !wine

Once you have enough units for an upvote on every post, then you start getting larger votes on each posts, up to the maximum deliverable upvote (each voting account can only deliver 100% upvote to each post).

If you have 500 HSBI units and publish only 2 posts a day, then each of your posts will get roughly $0.084. 🤓

That might motivate you to publish more posts (as long as you have time for that), and that also makes other Hive users see more of your content for them to curate (or tip). 🤔🤓 !PIZZA !LOL

Each account starts with enough pending upvote balance to get their first upvote immediately. So really you're looking for how long does it take to replenish the pending upvote balance between votes. By my current estimate, for 10 units it's about 10 days.

HIVE price is in a decline right now, unfortunately, so the recharge times are creeping up.

Edit: Meant to respond on @svanbo's comment, but grabbed the wrong depth after clicking up through the thread for context.

If it wasn't so sensitive to HIVE price we would include an estimate in the FAQ.

Most Hive curators already notice the effect of the changes in the price of HIVE whenever they curate. 🤓

Maybe you can show an (approximate) formula to how fast the HSBI vote balance recharges, taking into account the price of HIVE. 😏

0.018 means the calibration is wrong and needs adjusted (it's supposed to be 0.021). I will fix it.

The 0,021 is to make sure it passes the dust limit of 0,02? I mean in case the post wouldn't get any upvote?... !LUV

That's right. We had been targeting 0.02, but we found that sometimes the fluctuations in pricing resulted in votes below threshold. Usually other votes make up the difference, but that is not always the case, and many of our users like to support new Hivers that might not be consistently getting other votes yet.
