Crown Jewel champion ... Cody versus Gunther

Who's going to be the Crown Jewel Champion at the forthcoming WWE Crown Jewel Payperview?

WWE is getting ready for Crown Jewel and the main event match is already set. I thought there would be a storyline build up to that time but they decided to do something very different.

Triple H at Bad Blood last week unveiled a new title called the Crown Jewel Championship. It certainly does look like a Jewel.

The contenders for the crown Jewel title are already known. Triple H said it would be the Undisputed Champion versus the world heavyweight champion.

That means it will be Cody Rhodes versus Gunther. This is very disappointing to me and I'll tell you why.

Last year, I teased a possible match between Gunther and Roman Reigns. I was hoping that match will happen to see who would win and how the match would go.

If Roman was still the Undisputed champion and with Gunther as the current world heavyweight champion, I would have had that dream match.

I'm not going to look down on Cody Rhodes anyways, besides he defeated Roman Reigns. So Cody versus Gunther is the official main event match.

Who's going to win that match? That's very hard to tell because both contenders have a reputation to protect and not just that.

Cody represents Smackdown and Gunther represents RAW. Who ever loses will not only bring shame to the title they hold but also shame to the brand they represent.

How is WWE going to make that match happen without ruining the reputation of both champions? I guess that's what's going to make the main event match unpredictable and exciting.

But wait, who says that's going to be the main event though? We have Roman Reigns and he's always a guaranteed main event of any payperview as long as he's around.

What match will Roman have at crown Jewel? I guess this Friday, we'll find out.
