An Epic Adventure - Flying with the Dragons

Join me as I will be reviewing the performance of my dragons as I send them off to a high mana battle.

Let’s go! Hop-on and enjoy the ride.

Battles and Dragons

Preparation:

The ruleset and the activated elements makes me think of three possible strategies.

First, the opponent may utilize the ruleset by deploying powerful melee attackers.

Second, the opponent may expect me to do the same and attempt to counter. I am expecting to face monsters with thorns and shield ability.

Third, the opponent may neither utilize nor counter melee attackers. They may go with ranged and or magic attackers instead.

This are main things I need to consider as I form my team.

The Assault Team

Summoner: Quix the Devious

I needed him to summon my dragons.

A legendary dragon summoner that has the ability to slow all enemies. He will also weaken all opposing ranged attackers by reducing their attacks.

I only have him at level 1 but is more than enough for my current league tier. He is a legendary summoner after all.

Position 1: Uriel the Purifier

A towering monster with massive stats under the Life splinter.
Appropriate for the position of a tank.

His flying ability is perfect under a Melee Mayhem ruleset. Any physical attackers that will target him will most probably miss. Even if they will hit, his thick armor and massive health can take them head on.

Magic attacks may penetrate his shield and take him down, but it will be too late for them by that time.

Any monster that will stand to long in front of him will be purified (3x damage when recharged).

Position 2: Djinn Chwala

An epic dragon monster with stats comparable to that of Uriel the Purifier.

A preferable dragon tank under mid-to-high mana battles. I placed her here to act as a secondary tank.

The Melee Mayhem ruleset will enable her to attack from this position.

When forced to the first position, her armor will be thick enough to take a number of physical attacks. Melee attackers that will dare to touch her will not get away without being pierce by her thorns.

Position 3: Chaos Dragon

A true beast with massive stats and perplexing abilities. Its ferocious magic attacks can attack anyone anywhere on the opposing team.

Placed it here to act as a tertiary tank in case both Uriel and Djinn Chwalla falls. Its wild/scattershot attacks can only be utilized when not in the first position.

Position 4: Pelacor Arbalest

A ranged attacker that can deliver damage two times in a row under the life splinter.
A full attacker that has given up defense in exchange for delivering the most damage.
He is one of my main damage dealer. Positioned him at the center, protected against frontal and sneak attacks.

Position 5: Prismologist

An epic ranged attacker with a powerful damage that can reach opponents adjacent to her target.

Positioned her at the back of Pelacor Arbalest because of her armor. It can block a single sneak attack in case void dragon at the very back will be taken down – although I bet they couldn’t.

Position 6: Void Dragon

A legendary dragon with a void ability that reduces the damage taken from magic attacks. It has a high speed and is also flying that will most likely make physical attacks miss. A general purpose tank under the Dragon splinter.

I positioned it here as my teams’ first line of defense against sneak attacks.

The Rampage

Post Battle Analysis

The opposing team consists of melee and magic attackers. It’s a good strategy considering the ruleset and the activated elements.

The opponent taunting somewhere at the center actually worked to my favor. My Prismologist was able deliver a total of 7 damage to 3 opponents on a single hit.

The opponents taunting tank did not even managed to survive the first round. The opponent using a taunt without support is not a good idea. Considering that this is 99 mana battle with a melee mayhem ruleset.

A barrage of both magic and physical attacks managed to defeat my Uriel. A lot of melee attacks did miss him. Magic on the other managed to penetrate and wear him out.

Djinn Chwalas’ thorns ability did a number on those melee attackers that dares to come close.

Chaos Dragons’ scattershot ability didn't care about the opponents positioning. It eliminated Goblin Psychic during the second round.

Pelacor Arbalest and Prismologist both excelled as damage dealeres. They delivered a total of 11 physical damage at each round.

Void Dragon was not able to prove the usefulness of its high speed and flying ability. It's a good line of defense, though, against sneak attacks.

Conclusion:

The chaos legion dragons are undoubtedly powerful creatures.
Chaos Dragon proved to be a nightmare that has been brought into the existence. A monster among the monsters.
