THE LEGENDARY SPLINTER: MORDEUS

HELLO, SPLINTERLANDS WORLD!

It's been weeks that Splinterlands is capturing my attention. Curiosity led me here, and now, I am doing my first-ever blog post: THE CARD FEATURE content. Every week, we will feature one card and this card will be used for battle and will also be feature to the BATTLE OF SPLINTERS content. So watch out for my weekly posting!

As my first post, let's tackle MORDEUS, the Fire Splinter.

MORDEUS

MORDEUS is a Fire Legendary Monster with Opportunity ability. Monsters with this kind of ability may attack at any position and will target enemy with the lowest health. It is very useful to every battle because most of the monsters with the strongest ability and attack are the ones who have lowest health. In that case, eliminating the strongest monster in the field will be easy. Aside from its fantastic ability, this monster has also five (5) melee attacks, two (2) speed, and four (4) lives. Obviously, this monster is not a front line monster due to its low health. Mordeus can best place on the middle of the line up, where it can attack and can be protected to front line attackers and back line attackers. We cannot also rely on its evading ability due to its low speed. In that case, to strengthen this Legendary Monster, we have to improve its speed and health. Adding armor to this monster is also a great option.

On the other side, if there is one downside of this monster, it is none other than its mana. The seven (7) mana points is a lot of points and can limit your monster-picking ability. You cannot pick the best line up because this can limit you on your decision. So think carefully before using this card.

Overall, we cannot deny how strong this monster is. A five melee attack is something but improving its defensive ability is better than a high attacking ability. Remember, monsters cannot help in the field if they are already dead or eliminated in the battle. So focus on health, armor, and/or defensive ability of this powerful monster, and think about your best line up.
