Welcome back to the People's Guild. We've started a new segment of the show in which we aim to engage the writers & content creators out there through a new per-episode challenge.
This week, in our inaugural challenge, we thought it appropriate to place a bounty upon one sir @yabapmatt's account.
Step One:
Face off with Yaba in battle and, win or lose, give us all the details. Your strategy. Your thoughts. Your report of the battle. Your subsequent shit talk. We want it all.
Step Two:
Put it all together in a creative & engaging fashion & post it here on Hive.
Step Three:
Once you've got your post together, be sure to tag us @thepeoplesguild & toss the tag #TPGCHALLENGE on there so we can be sure to get eyes on it.
As a note, our weekly challenge will be based upon any of the following:
- A Monster or Summoner
- An Ability
- A Ruleset
- An Element
- A Mana Cap
- A suggested Ability or Ruleset
- A Player Bounty
We're trying to come up with some fair measures (perhaps # of comments, # of reblogs & shares, something else entirely?) and some cool reward ideas - in the meantime, we'd love to hear from you all.
As of right now, we're thinking to:
Determine the winning content via an X poll - make sure you follow us over there
Share 50% of the rewards on the subsequent Challenge post with whomever wins the current Challenge
UPDATE: we've also been gifted some Untamed packs to sweeten the deal for winning the challenge!

It's within my last 20 battles but if I happen to have a more recent and more interesting battle against him, that will be the one that I will use.

Damn it, I fought him a few weeks ago. Don't think I can even find the battle now. Unsurprisingly I got my ass handed to me. I'll keep my eyes peeled for future challenges.
Ah bummer! And ya never know - ya just may run into him over the next ~week or so before we wrap this one up. As far as future challenges, we'll try and get one going each week. I'm really digging the bounty approach on folks - this may very well be the primary challenge we throw out there! Buncha OG's I'd love to see targeted :)
nice one, love your podcast btw. Have you guys thought about doing any shorter bitesize content? Sometimes I skip your stuff as its too much to fit in one go.
Cheers @snowboarderpete ! We've considered it & have done some chopping and edits for shorter form content, but it's super time consuming. Eventually, I'd love to be able to afford some AI to manage all of that for me, but in the meantime, it's just not feasible for me to do so on such a regular basis. The episode pretty much wipes 6 hours from my Thursday every week without fail on its own already... you can always listen on podcasting platforms at 2-3x!
Yikes, thats a big time commitment. I'll get some downloaded for long drives home from work. Currently listening to the Clayboyn convo, love hearing his input and what he's doing to help the game and DAO
Recording 2-3 hours; art, editing & publishing at least 2 hours. It's a big commitment but I really enjoy doin the pod so it's all good. Labor of love. But yea, no short-form content coming consistently any time soon.
Clay is the man - was great seein such a massive show of support in the last proposal for re-election.
