Hello SPL family
Another week, another set of Battle Mage secrets. This week's highlighted ruleset is Ferocity. In this ruleset, all units will have the Fury Ability. The Fury ability grants double damage to a unit with a taunt ability when it is attacked. In this ruleset, it is advisable to avoid using units with taunt ability because they will easily die in battle due to the double damage they receive with each attack. Below are the monsters with Fury ability.

The battle I will show comes from the SPS Dao Free Tournament. This is the Ferexian Modern Silver Invitational where I only placed 90th. One of my matches in the 1st round had the Ferocity ruleset, so I chose it to demonstrate how I won our battle.
MY BATTLE
The battle condition is 44 mana caps and you can use all elements in this battle. The rulesets are Ferocity, Earthquake and FabFour.
TEAM COMPOSITION
Because using taunt is not allowed since it can result in double damage when attacked, I chose Lily Shieldpaw as my summoner, a dragon summoner that provides +1 health, camouflage, and triage. Lily Shieldpaw can be used as an alternative to the taunt ability. Since all units have camouflage in this battle, all attacks from the enemy will be focused only on the 1st position. For the 1st position, I selected Pelacor Conjurer, a no-attack monster with flying and magic reflect ability at level 5. I expect my opponent to use magic attackers, so I placed Pelacor Conjurer in the 1st position to reflect the enemy's magic attacks. For the 2nd position, I chose Rage, a magic attacker with void and flying ability at level 1. Rage's void ability will help reduce the damage it receives from magic attackers. For the 3rd position, I chose Venari Marksrat, a ranged attacker with martyr ability at level 4. Venari Marksrat's martyr ability will provide additional stats to allied monsters when he dies in battle. The last monster I chose is Chaos Dragon, a magic attacker with flying, scattershot, and blast abilities at level 2. Chaos Dragon's scattershot plus blast ability will greatly help spread the blast damage to the enemy.
KEYNOTES
Because one of the rulesets is earthquake I use a monster with the flying ability to avoid the physical damage of the earthquake.
BATTLE HIGHLIGHTS
In round 1, Pelacor Conjurer was killed by Runemancer Florre through a ranged attack.
In round 2, Chaos Dragon killed Regal Peryton due to the blast effect of its attack on Runemancer Florre.
The battle ended in round 3 with Chaos Dragon attacking Gargoya Devil. Due to the blast, Pelacor Mercenary and Runemancer Florre of the opponent were also affected by the attack.
Overall, my plan to use Lily Shieldpaw as a summoner was successful because all of the opponent's attacks were focused only on the 1st position.
Using monsters with flying ability also helped me avoid physical damage from the earthquake.
The rule of Chaos Dragon's blast damage also played a significant role in affecting adjacent targets.
