SPS Rewards Increasing in Wild Ranked

It's been a few days since the new Splinterlands season started and we had the implementation of the Wild Seasonal Pass and the doubling of SPS requirements for rewards in Wild Ranked.

Since it is a Reward Pool, the impacts of the changes take some time to be felt, but over the days of this new season I have already observed some improvements in the rewards (this does not mean it is enough to cover the new costs). Looking at past posts I noticed that my average rewards in Champion III/II ranged between 2.5 to 3.5 SPS per win.

Champion III/II pre Wild Seasonal Pass.

For this, I kept a constant rental of 75,000 SPS (approximately 2,100 DEC ) per week. With the substantial increase in requirements, I decided to increase my rental to 100,000 SPS generating an additional cost of 700 DEC ($0.47) per week. Besides that, there is also the new expense with the Wild Seasonal Pass which cost me 40 Vouchers ($0.88). Adding up all the additional costs, we reach a total of approximately $1.82 over the season.

To cover this cost, it would be necessary to earn 230 SPS more in the season (considering the current value). So far, I am still in Diamond I, but over the days I have been observing an improvement in rewards per win and it is possible that by the end of the season, the numbers will start to make sense.

Diamond I post Wild Seasonal Pass.

My last match yesterday yielded 4.61 SPS . Considering the difference between the league in the two screenshots, it is possible that returning to the same Rating I will be able to earn more than double the rewards before the update. If this materializes, we can run some simulated calculations to try to anticipate if the increase in rewards will offset the new costs of Wild Ranked.

Assuming I play 24 matches a day and win 12 (my Win Rate is usually 54%, but let's consider 50%) and receive double the rewards (from 3 to 6 SPS in Champion III/II), we will have a total of 1,080 SPS earned over 15 days versus just 540 SPS before the update. This difference would be enough to cover all additional costs and still generate additional profit.

Considering this hypothetical situation and speculating that rewards will reach double the previous ones (it looks like this will happen), we realize that despite all the commotion caused by these updates, those who keep playing in Wild Ranked will be able to obtain greater profit after the departure of several bots that were draining the pool and mitigating the rewards of other players. If we analyze the battle graphs of Modern Ranked and Wild Ranked we will notice that there was a migration and a drastic reduction in the number of matches in Wild, generating this increase in rewards for the remaining players.

It seems this was quite a punch against the Bot Farms and maybe we are finally heading towards a definitive solution. Let's keep following this saga and see if the rewards of Wild Ranked will really continue to increase in Splinterlands, making this mode still viable for those who don't want to abandon their old collection cards.

Champion III/II pré Wild Seasonal Pass.

Diamante I pós Wild Seasonal Pass.

The increase of SPS reward is expected because there are a lot of players quitting the game.
