"We all need Healing" - A Battle Mage Secret Challenge Entry

Every work and no play makes Jack a dull boy is a well known saying that encourages fun and leisure as part of life development. Research evidences has shown that we grow fun and leisure helps our minds to refresh faster as well improve cognitive ability. Thanks to Splinterlands game that makes it possible to earn some bucks while playing and cruising in fun. You miss this fun when you are not p;aying the Splinterlands game.

While the Splinterlands ecosystem is so wide that many can choose to ignore the game play and focus on the investment aspect, latest improvements in the game is making it harder to ignore gameplay as the reward system is improving towards future sustainability.

While trying to interface and check out recent improvements and updates on the Splinterlands website, I sucessfuly drew a battle with the Healed Out ruleset defined for the latest battle Mage Secret challenge. participating in such challenges helps a Splinterlands player to explore the game more and improve his efficiency doing that.

The Healed Out battle ruleset allows all healing abilities to be removed. This means that any abilities that helps to heal, revive or restore a monster's health against damage in battle is disabled. This rule applies to summoner as well. Healing abilities available in the Splinterlands Battle include Heal, Tank Heal, and Triage. If a player must select a monster or summoner that has any of the listed abilities above, it must be that the monster has other abilities or is rated high in attack or defense to actively participate in the battle.

My Battle Strategy and Experience

The battle has a auto-defined manna cap of 20. This limited me to select just three monsters that combated against 5 enemy monsters. My monsters for the battle were: (1) Hardy Stonefish (No ability), (2) Nerisa Tridawn (No ability), and (3) Deeplurker (Opportunity ability). I only wander why I had to select monsters with no ability for the fight. However, Nerisa Tridawn is always a good bet for me with her well rated stats as a magic attack monster.

The battle ensued and lasted for 5 rounds. It started out that my team looked strong until the third round where Nerisa Tridawn was killed. The advantage the enemy team had is that they fielded magic attack monsters, though with low rating, they rendered my summoner's armor enhancement almost useless in the fight.

How Powerful is the Healing Abilities?

The outcome of the battle really showed how effective monsters wth healing abilities have been. I have a monster in my deck that heals the health of the first monster each round. It's always been a good match with Nerisa Tridawn.

After loosing he battle though with my favourite Nerisa Tridawn and competent Deeplurker, I can say that "We all need Healing". Trust me, I would have attached a "monster with healing ability for the fight if not for the ruleset. Should I select the ruleset next time, I'll have to change the strategy for the combat.
